It's not the fastest drive around for reading or writing DVD and CD discs, so if you're not planning on using BR discs, this is one to avoid. On the other hand, if you fancy some BR action and you're looking to spend £100 on something that you know will annoy your PS3-owning friends, this is pretty much perfect. And, yes - connect the second output of your computer's video card to your TV, and you can use this to watch BluRay movies on the big screen.

Last thing, buy this with free delivery. eBuyer are trying their hardest to avoid backlogs this christmas, so are sending free delivery items out as quickly as they can. To you, this means it should be at your door within two or three days, tops.

Good price, just need cheap discs to go with it, cheapest I found was £9 each plus delivery!

Aye - seems kind of a sting when DVDs can be bought for a quid each now, doesn't it?

crikey scotland must be expensive????

This doesn't write blu-ray discs, so I'm not sure if you're reffering to the films being £9, or the writtable discs...

Yeah - meaning the movies. True, it's only Herculeus In New York and X-Men 2 that you can get for £1, but it kinda makes it seem expensive when you're paying nine times as much for only an extra 190 lines of detail.

i think they were a little confused about what it does.

obviously it only READS blu ray, however it WRITES cd/ dvd.

you can get the blu ray recorders and they are dropping in price but they are still TOOOOOOO expensive for your everyday user. £250 i think , the last time i looked.

however i remember buying a cd writer 8 years ago, it was £200, as was my first dvd burner, but it paid for itself within 5 ps2 games.:whistling:

See, that's what happens when you spend your money on BR Readers and 22" monitors instead of a calculator.
