I've been looking for a decent pair of DJ / monitoring headphones and very nearly went for the HD25's but have been struggling to find them at £87 in stock.

After a bit of reading these seem to be very well liked and although not in stock until the 19th June they are the cheapest I can currently find.

According to the camels this is the lowest price.

These are very different to the HD25s... Being an owner of HD25 Aluminiums I'll vouch for them all day long! I've never been a fan of the Pioneer cans...
When considering DJ cans, use this handy logic:

Are they HD-25s?

---If yes, buy them and never use this flow chart again.

---If no, ignore them and buy HD-25s, and never use this flow chart again.

These will be my first "proper" DJ headphones. Can you tell me what the difference is please.

Cheers
Horses for courses. While the sound is great, some ppl find the HD25s uncomfortable.

These are entry level pioneers and are plastic, which is OK (so r the HD25s), but looking at the design they look like they may eventually break.

If u r going for the pioneers, might be worth looking at the Bluetooth edition which are on sale for £79.99 at Currys:

I'm assuming that u can use them cabled without Bluetooth for djing (just double check if purchasing). Then worst case if you don't like them for this purpose u can use them with ur phone or other Bluetooth device.

If u can stretch the budget, might be worth looking at the HDJ-X7 which are a good compromise for the mighty HDJ-X10...

A lot of it is down to personal preference, but having tried a few of Pioneers offerings, AI AI AI TMA 1s, V Modas and more, I just prefer my HD25s.

You don't have to take my word, heck you may not even like them yourself, but theres a reason they're almost industry standard and can be found on the heads of a good number of the world's 'top' DJs.

Thanks so much for the comments - all constructive /entertaining 🏻

I'm going to let these arrive and if not happy with them back they'll go.

I'm so tempted by the 25's but.......

get the 25's
if it aint broke dont break it
Mine arrived yesterday and I'll be keeping them.

Very neutral sound and comfortable. I've not used the HD25s so can't compare.

I've got a pair of the Sony 1000xm3s and I appreciate not comparing like for like but I do like the sound and the isolation of the Pioneer cans.

Cheers
