A really top quailty set :

This 42" Plasma TV is the reason Pioneer have put years of design, research and development into building KURO: a flat screen television that will let you see and hear film like never before.

Please if you can find cheaper then please say as im intrested in buying this set myself.

You must use code : BIGTV

Hot, plus you get a surrond sound system thrown in for free!!

Don't bother voting cold if you don't know your tvs and your prices!

Good deal

Seems excellent to me

Voted hot

People voting cold dont know their electronics...

A good TV at a decent price. RRP is nearly £1800

Slightly cheaper at pixmania here

Pioneer Pdp4280xd £1159

Save £70 with the code PioTV70 Limited Offer Only.

So is this an Empire deal or a Dixons deal? I'm confused?

Go for it Andy excellent choice of tv. i paid full whack for mine in June and have never regretted it. in my opinion still is probably one of the best on the market and at a good price.
the other version ( 428xd ) for a further £200 - £250 gives you a usb port , picture in picture function , sub woofer output , custom calibration configuration and intelligent brightness control.

Link does nto work and couldnt find it on site ,plus did it come with the free kit which sell on dixons for £299?

Anyway i dont trust Pixmania anyway as had a lot of problems with them previously , plus dont they send you a tv which a 2 pin plug so then u need a plug adaptor?

As what happened to me once.

Thanks for postive feedback guys.

blackJester i opps being looking at all reviews for 428xd as thought this is what i was getting so already thought it had usb lol .....ah well , whats the different apart the the ones you stated?
I am told it is still the best 42" plasma out there the Kuro Pioneer :-D hence i cancelled an order for a £900 LCD to go for this ,just hope i love it.

Thanks

Link corrected but it seems to be sold out from here

Not sure if you can use AW20 with the BIGTV code

Not sure if you can use AW20 with the BIGTV code

Thanks for correcting that
Yup you can only use one code so BIGTV gives you the most discount, and yep its now sold out.
I managed to get one , and dixons do the tv for the same price but without the dvd package

Edit : seems to be back instock now as all is working fine

there is no difference in performance just the little add ons which i stated. i had the 428xd for the usb really expensive i know but it gives you the option to connect up anything that has a usb connection ......... i have used it for the computer , camera and camcorder all work simply and safely.
as for screen burn i was told the items that remain in place i.e windows task bar , dials on any racing games etc they move slightly obviously not to the naked eye in a clockwise motion so as to try and eliminate this ........... can anybody confirm this

good luck and happy viewing

Thanks Andy.

We've spent the last couple of weekends going round specialist shops looking at plasmas and LCDs and had reluctantly decided to go for a cheaper Panasonic, as the price of the Pioneer was beyond justification.

Now with this price and the surround sound unit, this is a no-brainer, and we've just ordered.:-D

:-(:-(Well - my excitement was somewhat premature.

I've just spoken to Dixons, who told me that my order has been cancelled due to "stock issues".

She said that there wasn't even any room on their waiting list, as there are people on there who have been waiting for weeks!! So, out of stock for weeks then. Don't think I'll have any confidence in ordering from them again.

Too good to be true, I suppose.

Sorry to hear that , i think they maybe telling fibs as i have been on no waiting list and they have confirmed delivery of my order.

Seems as though they have removed it from there site now also.
Still can be had though without the system and now free delivery , still a good price

i cant believe ive missed out on this.
ive been after this tv for a while. its still a good price without the kit though

by the way, you can get it for £1,109.22 with the code bigtv at the moment
