It's a better tyre from the reviews I have read previously between the 2.
Meh I have these on my Audi A3, had to replace the rear left and front left tyre twice. They dont actually seem that great, but its Audi "recommended". Maybe was unlucky.
Need a deal on tyres but 205/60/16 V (92 or 96)

At least the Pirelli might be made in UK which is important to me.
good for 15000 miles

I have these on my car in 19" size and they were fitted just before I bought the car. I have covered 15000 miles in 3 years - some of quite spirited driving - and there is still a good 5.5mm left on these.

I always have the tracking checked / adjusted on a Hunter rig when I fit new tyres, plus I always swap front/rear once a year. With some very basic care these should last long.

I had 3x new Audi A3 and 1 Audi A1 in previous years as company cars, they were all on continentals. Continentals tyres are good.

You may want to consider changing the profile to this one in the deal. This is where I see one of the best deals for this size. That would mean changing all 4 all at once.

Why?

It's better for the domestic economy obviously.
Rico00713/01/2020 20:08

Yes sorry

They tend to be disproportionately more for the extra 1cm width.

I've only read that you should stick to the manufacturer's recommended tyre spec. Even if you're changing all 4. I also need 205/60/16 but don't want to go against all the advice I've read, as good a deal this may be.
Thanks ordered 205

Yes I know that site. Check your car manual and see what the other alternative u can put on your car. If you bought your car used, someone may have changed the tyre profile from original.

I recently changed from original tyre spec, still within alternative size as the original were too small.

....funny enough the manual in the car gives a completely different spec tyre that's on the car. But the websites I've checked my make/model car against agree with what's on there now. So I'm thinking the car was sold to me with a manual belonging to the same model of car but different year maybe, I cant say for sure which is wrong..its all a bit confusing for me
Not a bad tyre. Scores above average-ish for wear according to tyre reviews. However great value for money!

How much to fit balance a tyre tho ?
Edited by: "Ts1899" 14th Jan
Not suitable for British cars, they require tyres not tires.

Very slim chance. We've stopped doing small sizes. Still do few 17" sizes, but mostly over 18" sizes.
Looking for 205/60/16. Any on offer?

I paid £10 per corner at a small local but they didnt balance rears... I've got a rear wheel drive car! They said they had but looked under a few weeks after and they haven't used any balancing weights so I'm confident not been done.
Needless to say won't be going back.
Wish paid £15 to ATS who are 2 mins from where I live. Will do that next time.
Make sure wherever you go you ask if they will balance rears if its rears you're replacing.

It's irrelevant that it's rear wheel drive, you notice steering shake on front though, less noticeable on the back. It used to be quite common not to balance the rears but it's rough as not to, plus it wears bushes and bearings out faster.
Nice price

Lazy selfish people in every trade just care about money not customers. Unfortunately becoming common these days.
Thanks for posting and a very belated welcome to hotukdeals. We have added this to the Highlights pages.
What price would these be in run flat please !!

Carlisle and Burton?

Carlisle for sure. Not so sure about Burton but I can find out. Burton might be still doing 16".
But smaller pirelli sizes are generally made in Turkey and China now.

Last time I was at Burton it was entirely MIRS making runflats, Carlisle still had ATAP then though.

It's better I agree. The only catch with the Dunlop Sport Blu Response is that the rubber compound is a bit on the soft side.

It's nothing drastic, but a Bridgestone T005 might do 26,000 and need replacing whereas driven by the same driver the Dunlop might need replacing at 24,000. Hardly a massive thing.
