Remove the shells as you browse in store, by the time you get to the checkout there 1/2 price.

I got some of these yesterday, Californian Pistachios, great price, great quality and in the biggest sack you've ever seen. HOT!!!

Almonds or Hazelnuts at £1.50 for 200g at Lidl are a good buy too

80p this is NUTS!

I love pistachios.

I'm now addicted to pistachio kulfi ice cream.

great! tesco offer on a 500g packet at £1/100g

Great price! Love these things!

ahhhhhhhhhh nuts

Any unsalted please?

When I asked about them earlier this week in their Nelson store I was told that they were the unsalted ones, so I didn't buy any.
If they were salted I would have expected the sign to have said so as most places that sell them loose only appear to sell the unsalted ones. Somehow adding salt to the unsalted ones while still in the shell doesn't taste as good and I don't fancy shelling a load then adding salt as I would then eat too many all at once.

Look like little kebabs

Bought a big bag of these last Sunday in Aberdeen, they are slightly salted and oh so nice. Cant just eat one or two though, its hard to stop. Lidl seem to do this once a year and they sell out fast, no wonder at this price.
Waiting for the Nescafe Gold Blend to come down to £4 again as I`m down to the last jar, lol.
Heat added.
Just been in this morning to Bridge of Don branch in Aberdeen, still got half a sackful left.

Couldn't agree more . Impossible just having one.Lol

Not that great price, Tesco do 200g for £1.67, in a sealed bag.
Tesco

my 8 year old tried one instore yesterday and loved them so at that price she brought some as a treat much better than a bag of pick and mix

They are definately salted I can confirm ! I bought a big bag full and munched them over a few days and had to give up after each hadful as my lips were burning from salt

Excellent value, will be buying more.

Agree on the Almonds and hazelnuts comments, much better value than elsewhere and I use them for trail mix, top stuff

HOT

Sweetcorn12 could be useful as an alternative or if someone has not got a local lidl

I bought these the other day, they were tasteless and dry, waste of money.

Bit too salty imo.

LOL from lidl. Probably horse nuts.

It's actually not that good a deal.

Lidl also sell sealed 250g bags of pistachios for £2.09.

You're saving 9p and will get more empty shells.

Pistachio nuts tend to be either from Israel or US (California mainly)...and the taste between the two are noticeably different, I much prefer the Californian ones, usually here in the UK we only get the Israeli ones cheaper.

Love pistachios but they destroy my nails (and no, they're untouched by nail varnish !!!) X) X)

Seen them come from Greece, Turkey and Iran as well.
Lidl sold them from a big bag earlier this year, and my Lidl was still selling from the same big bag, three week later. Exposed to the open air like this, you start questioning how fresh they were.

No, no one grows Pistachios in Israel, not sure where you got your info, main sources to the European market are the axis of evil ie US/Iran/Turkey

I got muddled, I meant Iranian....Israel are the biggest importer of Pistachios....I find Californian Pistachios have far more flavour.

Poor quality. I had a bag over the weekend and ended up throwing them out

Had two lots now, were lovely. We eat a lot and these are as good as any I have had.

The ones I buy are from India.
