Its always funny watching stupid people filling their bags full of scoops and scoops of these then realising when it comes to paying that they have just spent £20 on nuts!

Yes they are yummy and yes this is a good price but just check the weight before you reach the checkouts!

How do you get yourself up and about with 4 pound Nuts?

No scales in my local Lidl, I was told I would have to weigh them at checkout which I did no think would go down very well.....Lidl staff in my store are soooo rude

Thanks for the post but is it hot? Maybe. Let me explain, as someone with a little of knowledge in this area.

The price is good. I buy Aldi's pistachios (150g) for £1.25 working out at 83p per 100 grams. This one is 60p per 100g so its about 25% cheaper but what about the quality? Like any other item of the food, taste matters very much.

Aldi's pistachios are delicious, in fact addictive, because once you have cracked one or two you can't stop until its all finished. In Iran, the pistachio centre of the world, they have more than 10 different types of pistachios most of which are only available in Iranian/Turkish/Greek shops in the UK. Supermarkets do sell them too but usually only inferior quality ones at high prices.. Pistachios are priced in Iran according to their size and quality of production (how much lemon, and saffron was used during the roasting process and for how long) although it is also available there untreated and raw in its original shell, sold as fruit. Very healthy.

So in conclusion, if the quality is as good as Aldi's or near it, it's a bargain otherwise no. I will definitely try it though, I am big fan. If pistachios were anything as harmful as cigarettes, I might have been seriously ill by now!!!

please post back here to tell us what you think of them.
I'm also interested to know how the quality is

I could live on scampi, prawns, avocado, pistachios and cashew nuts for ever. That would be my ideal staple food but sadly the cost means I cannot..sigh

Love pistachios but the last lot from Lidl were stale and they were from the top of a new bag.

You need to dig deep sir

This is the best deal since sliced bread. Even at full price they got loads of heat here in the past. They are amazing pistachios.

Buy these all the time.
These are great
Try buying these in a ready pack Tesco etc
Lot dearer and no where near as nice.
Heat added..

Tried theses previous IMO quality is superb, and matches higher Marques.

I've bought these in the past. They were lovely.

Are they stupid or are you stupid for taking any notice of them.

You decide.

X)

Went thru acres of these recently.
So much nicer than other places I've tried and a fair whack cheaper

I buy them and the quality is pretty good compared to other supermarkets but you have to get there quick as I find the longer they are in the shop opened up they aren't so good.

This seems to be an ongoing offer in Lidls now.

In experience although perhaps not relevant, the ones from Lidl are close to having gone off and thus aren't so great.

this is worth a read: marksdailyapple.com/nut…id/

Costco pistachios are unbeatable. From a half-man half-chimp, pistachio eating hybrid.

id make sure id buy them from a larger store - have you seen the HUGE bags they get in?
about 1mX1mx1m in size... small stores are going to take forever to get through that

cheaper in Asian shops

Bodie, what if those people are actually exceedingly clever and are selling those pistachios for a profit? Pistachios are like the heroin of nuts. They are worth a lot of money...

Interesting info quite fancy trying pistachios roasted in lemon pity Iran isnt tourist friendly...

Judging by the comment of those that have tried it, the quality is very good. Should be a bargain then.

Disagree. Iranians must be one of the most tourist-friendly people on the planet. They love foreign tourists and are always happy to talk with them with many people able to speak English. They sometimes even bend over backwards to help the tourists, ask anyone who has visited. The Government and people should not be considered the same. As for sightseeing, just google ISFAHAN. The city of Isfahan has more world heritage sites than many European countries have in total !!!

No chance finding any where nuts. Bloody stupid and waste of time offers. Lidl Sucks

Went there yesterday and all that was left was an empty bag no nuts....:(

I love these
