Upfront price for the 3 xl has dropped to £25 making this a great deal.

Plan details:
Vodafone
5gb data
Unlimited minutes
unlimited texts

£24 x 24 months
£25 Upfront
Total cost £601
Minus possible £40 cashback via topcashback

There may still be a £10 voucher for this but I would avoid using it if you want to claim the cashback.

Voucher code is 10OFF - credit to @adamderak

Glad I didn't take the 3a XL at the same price now last week.
Does anyone have this phone? I've been put off by all the reviews saying the camera lag is awful. It can take 10 seconds between opening the camera app and being able to take your first photo. Google still don't seem to have released a fix for this

10 seconds sounds pretty bad. Is that something you've seen in multiple reviews?
In all the phone shops I've viewed this phone both the regular and the xl have to have screen brightness all the way up to actually see the screen, turn it down even a little and the screen just goes very dark. It could be due to demo mode but its on all the 3s I've tested even at different retailers.
Anyone with the phone able to confirm/deny?
if you google 'pixel 3 camera lag' there are lots of links. Several reddit / android forums but some genuine review websites too
To OP Use code 10OFF to get £10 off the UPFRONT cost

I have a 3XL and have never noticed this lag, you can take a photo within a second of opening the app
Also pressing the power button twice , with the phone in sleep mode, brings on the camera instantly and then pressing the shutter button takes the picture and I'm still impressed with the quality of the photos.

Thanks I'll add it to the OP however as I've stated, if you want to get the topcashback, it's probably best not to use a voucher

Wouldn't listen to this at all. I can open and take a burst shot of 5 pictures in under 2 seconds on my Pixel 3.

This screen is not as bright as Samsung Galaxy or iPhone.

XDA have a good readup here: xda-developers.com/goo…-4/ it got a B+ rating, they say it struggles in direct-sunlight - but rooting can boost the brightness up.

DisplayMate, however, gave it an A+ rating however and says that the brightness isn't an issue. displaymate.com/Pix…htm

I have this device and hdr + there is a huge delay, using regular hdr seems to be ok.

According to mine HDR+ is always on and it works without lag. In fact I see no way of changing it to HDR. Are you sure you have all the updates.

Surprised this isn't hotter tbh. Great price for the XL.
