Good price for anyone looking one, but I purchased the 64gb version in December from Argos for £449 with the keyboard and was extremely disappointed with crashes and restarts.

Ended up selling it and buying a Tab S6.

Sounds like you've got (or rather, had) a faulty unit. I have the 64GB version and use it almost everyday. I've not experienced any lag, crashing or forced restarts since I got it
They have included the pen this time. Unfortunately the keyboard is showing as OOS. Shame because I would have got a further £50 off from my Amex card.
Keyboard out of stock
no keyboards left in stock
Got the 64gb on black Friday, love it, use or daily, if you pastor it with the brydge keyboard is even better
I had a look at them in Currys over Xmas, very nice hardware wise, but I did wonder why such a high resolution on a tablet? I struggled to read anything unless it was stepped down a few notches.

I'm going to wait for the Lenovo Duet and see how that turns out.
I would strongly advise not to buy this and review MKBHD's review on YouTube.

One of Google's all time fails.

Possibly faulty but reviews have not been kind to this device anyway, the keyboard gets bad reviews too. It’s a niche device and very expensive still, seems most of the problems stem from Android not being a good tablet OS.
Amex have £50 cashback on a £400 spend at the moment if that helps anyone

Can't be as bad as the Nexus 9, 5X or 7 (2012 version)

Haha, but those devices cost a fraction of this. We’re the 5X or 7 1st gen really that bad?

The Slate OS is ChromeOS, not Android (although it is compatible with most Android apps).

True they were lots cheaper. All 3 devices had day 1 issues though:-
-9, Not enough RAM, high resolution screen, Android 5.
-5X, not enough RAM and being an LG, bootloops.
-7 (2012), Slow ROM.

The i5 and the keyboard and pen bundle is still in stock. Does anyone know how the slate compares to the Pixelbook Go in real world usage i.e. dual screen setup paired with keyboard and mouse?

That review was based on the celeron version, notice how he didn't do a review on the i5/i7 models which run buttery smooth. This is a pretty good deal and chrome os on this will be supported until June 2026.
