link to voucher as other one takes you to Mothercare : pixifoto.co.uk/per…ios

they sent me one for our local boots for 2.50 i think next week, may take the little one along just for the free pic

"The first pose taken will be your 12 x 10 free print ..."

Presumably the first photo they take will be pretty poor compared to the later ones. This is presumably how they get you to buy more.

Is that an opinion or what they actually do?? keen to no?

They done that to me took free photo and my son had his eyes closed and said they can only take one photo ended up spending over £100 on a package to make paying for the other photos worthwhile (silly of me really) but annoying when I think back xx

Had 8 poses done recently, first one was free, good pic if you've got a nice photographer they'll make sure of it. Rest were all very nice and always had every intention on buying them all

O well worth a fiver if your little one can sit still and you can refrain from over purchasing lol

they often do completely free sittings with the 1 free photo. and yes, the free photo is generally a quick 'sit and snap' and then they take more care with the others. we didn't succumb, but friends who did mostly spent over 100 quid on (not very many) prints. one spent 250 and got a 60 quid parking ticket to boot for being in the car park longer than 2 hours!

This is exactly what they do.

This is not a Hot deal in my opinion. The photo's cost a fortune. We went and had some of us and our son and the first price they showed us for the 'full pack' was over £1200. They don't have transparent pricing. You have to ask lots of questions and negotiate and they'll keep getting their pocket calculator out. I remember they offered to put digital copies of the photo's we bought (not all the pics, only the hard copies we bought) for £300!

We ended up getting something like 6-8 pictures of various sizes for just under £200.

As I said, the worst part is the lack of clear pricing.

Pixi Photo are not a good photography studio to go to, non of the photographers are qualified, it's all about sales!
There are thousands of trainee photographers out there who will do the shot as a way of building up there portfolio, u can probably get better images from them who know what they are doing for free with images on a disk. I know cause this is what I did for my diploma. Have a look online and see what u can find! Make sure u have some form of contract with them which states that they can only use the images when u give them permission but normally the photographer will have to hand if it's a child's shot!

If u are paying a fiver for a studio photo shot ur not gonna get anything "amazing" it works as the more u pay the more u get! One of the reasons I no longer work for a studio!

Have used pixifoto, not the best pics I've ever seen but we were offered several attempts at the free pic until we were happy with it. There was no pressure to buy more. Pricewise, I've heard of a lot worse.

ive had these done in the past. purely depends on the staff members ive had some great freebie pics.. and no pressure sales either

Dont bother going to pixifoto in slough mothercare. We had appalling service from their so called photographer. The guy had no skills in how to wrk with kids.

The thing about this deal is its a £5 offer no pressure to buy anything else unless YOU want to, I cannot find anywhere on the voucher that states the picture is of the first image only so if anyone can point out where this is I would be greatful. Its just a bit of fun for a fiver to maybe get a Christmas picture of your little one dressed up. I agree any one can take a photo and obviously bad experiences can be off putting for any future purchases but you are saving so this is a deal after all

wow I done this deal for my daughter a couple of years ago seems they've tweaked it since then used to get a photo of your choice free and the rest of pics were def not that pricey!!!

The photographer was very pushy with me and definitely stated that the free photo could only be taken once but I had mine done in 2010 . I would never go back there even for the free photo, but hopefully that was just a bad experience for me it may well be different for others.

I took my son to a FREE sitting yesterday..the photographer who was very nice took 2 photographs and let me choose between the two..they weren't great but we get a free 10x12 so can't really complain about that. She then went on to take tonnes of very cute photos of my son & tried to persuade me to purchase. There was lots of different prices and I felt she became quite pushy in trying to get me to purchase a £250++ package which I didn't actually want!! I left saying I would go back with my husband & was rather rudely told I would loose the 60% discount she was offering me there & then!! If you can walk in & say you only want the freebie & nothing else then this is great, the trouble is the photographs after are allot nicer and you feel inclined to buy them which is how they can offer one for free!!!
