nice

OSB board roof, needs to be fully T&G really.

Dan will love this.

Nice find, thanks.

Bought the SHIRE raised bunny platform play house (shipped direct from SHIRE). Had bits missing, broken, incorrect. Took ages to get them replaced and then they turned up I had to cut them down as they weren't actually the right bits! Complained and got a sorry but these things happen half apology. The 'pallet' it was shipped on was actually part of the play house base. They're cheap but not worth the saving - in my opinion.

Avoid any building with shire in the name. made by a company called shire … Avoid any building with shire in the name. made by a company called shire garden buildings in wisbech, if you google them you will see reviews of how bad they are. I know plenty of people who have had the "pleasure" of working for them. Happily lie to their customers to cover their own back, don't expect delivery for at least 5 weeks. they manufacture for shedstore, screwfix, b&q, asda, sainsburys, tesco, elbec.. you name it.. they probably make them AVOID. (ps they only cost probably less than £60 to manufacture.)

Not much chance of avoiding then, anyone have any decent sheds retailers they can recommend?on the lookout just now.

Thanks

This review is factually incorrect, it is defamatory and our lawyers are attempting to trace the author. We will also investigate the responsibility of the publisher in this regard. Shire deliver 98.5% of orders on time (Fact). The costing statement is ludicrous and the client list is wrong. It is true that Shire supplies many very large retailers and offers them value for money products with good service. Why does CAMBSGIRL think they continue to deal with the company year after year??

Shire welcomes constructive criticism and will always take helpful comments into account.

I personally would avoid company that threaten 'legal action' from an opininated comment on here.
For one, any reputable company would not care about a single comment made by a single random person on here.
And secondly any reputable company would not be on here defending comments and threatening ludicrous and nonsense legal action!
It also makes you wonder if the orignal thread has links with the company. ie self promotion?

Will happily await contact from your lawyers if you do not like my comment.

Here's some 'constructive criticism'...don't try and bully consumers. HUKD is an open forum where people discuss the relative merits of particular deals. Frankly, if I were your company, I would save the money you waste on pointless litigious action, and instead focus on improving the quality of your service. The internet is a largely democratic place; one where quality rises to the top, and cr*p sinks. Why not try and emulate someone like Amazon, rather than taking the opposite approach of trying to quieten people with more than likely genuine grievances?!

Okay, now I thought my original comment was bad but wow legal action... to be clear here is the list (taken directly from my original email to 'customer services' after I received the missing parts list (so I could actually check what bits should be there):

"I have now checked the parts list against the delivered items and have the following parts missing or damaged:

1x Inner framework 70x44x655mm missing
1x Leg support brace 70x44x822mm missing
3x Steps 57x25x470mm missing
All fixings missing (As per telephone call)
1x Side framework 70x44x1736mm damaged - large split and looks like rot at one end for about 6 inches - considering this part is integral to the strength of the structure I am not happy to use this piece.
1x Slat (Railing) 70x12x535mm damaged - split in 2 places and chunks missing at both ends (See note on additional parts below).

I appear to have some additional parts also, the extra parts are listed below.
2x Rebated profiles 44x33x962mm extra
2x Framework pieces 34x22x506mm extra
8x Slats extra

I built the main Bunny structure on Saturday and have the following issues:
The door does not fit into the opening, I have not fitted it yet as it will require material either to be removed from the top or bottom of the door or frame. The door rebate measures 952 high, and the opening is 950mm high.
One diamond fascia top trim split when I tried to nail it to the fascia board (the other is fine and is nailed exactly the same).
Luckily I asked your delivery driver to leave me the 'pallet' that the parts were delivered on (I was going to use it for something else), as it turns out this is actually the base of the Bunny structure! Your driver wasn't going to unload it, but luckily I asked for it for another project. It was little bent, and I wasn't sure if this was actually the base of the Bunny, but it is the right size and material, I removed the nailed in parts that made it a pallet and have used it as the base, otherwise I am also missing the base!

Needless to say this whole experience has made me think twice about purchasing another Shire product in the future."

These are FACTS... AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.

Bring on the lawsuit, it will cost you.

Didn't expect all of this! I have no link with the company so how dare anyone suggest it, our house was delivered on date agreed and although the instructions are a little sketchy we've put it up with no carpentry skills and are very happy with it end of.

Hi ilovetoshop, Hopefully you don't take any of my comments personally (not that it was me that suggested you worked for them), after-all, all you did was post a deal, it's not your fault they have such a bad reputation (deservedly). Glad you are happy with yours (you must be in the minority). Still, it must be fun to have all these posts on you deal!

I (cambsgirl) would like to apologise for my comments and retract all that i said.
I hope that this will be the end of this matter.

I, however, stand by mine completely.

I have reported shedsell1, as i dont think comments they made about legal action are welcome on a site where people make their own opinions, and as such should be banned. We look for comments like CAMBSGIRl to ensure we get the best service for our money.
I'm sure CAMBSGIRL is feeling a bit worried about the comment made by them.
I was tempted to buy this, but if the company are making such threats regarding 1 comment, i dont want anything to do with them.

I've had first hand experience of this company and have to say the shed was delivered on time and was in good order. The only problem I had, was with the delivery driver who litterally dumped the shed on my mothers drive and was quite rude when she asked if he could take it to the side of the house (approx 5 yards).

Again sorry to hijack but, can anyone recommend a decent up standing shed supplier please, i wont be buying from these jokers...

There was a place recommended on here ages ago called north street sheds, I only remeber as I bookmarked the address at the time.

I was looking at getting one but 'no way Pedro' after threatening a forum user with legal action. Extreme cold

This response is for CAMBSGIRL:

Thank you very much for the retraction, here at Shire it is much appreciated and we would confirm that this will indeed be the end of the matter.

For other Customers:
We employ more than a hundred people in the UK and have been a family business for more than 70 years. We supply many thousands of buildings each month to all points in the UK, regrettably with this huge volume a building might on occasion be incomplete or damaged, for this we sincerely apologise but we will always do all we can to rectify the situation. The Shire customer service team can be reached on 01945 465295 for any outstanding issues. (thankyou “Ilovetoshop” and others for their kind comments)

COLD COLD COLD! I saw the pic but no chance after seeing baseless legal threats. @shire after 70 years its maybe time to outsource your customer relations department!
