I know the mac haters will make this cold and whine about how a Windows equivalent is cheaper, well some of us want/need Macs for Music, Video and Photo editing.

Enter code PIXCYBER18 for £18 off.

Apple store is £999 for this and amazon £895 - so to me this is a good one

Too many bad experiences with Pixmania for me, I think.

"I know the mac haters..."

When will you people learn (_;)

lol its true though; I've just ordered one for myself and can't get anywhere near the £828 from other suppliers. I'm sure if someone posted a Ferrari deal they'd be no Fiesta boys moaning about their car doing exactly the same

Anyway, its not a debate - I thought I'd give a heads up to anyone in my position that needed the pro and this price thats available

Not just cheaper... SO MUCH cheaper. But of course it isn't possible to do Music, Video and Photo editing on a PC, so I guess you just have to pay.

Nothing wrong with Mac's. Its pixmaina i would not deal with again. If anyone does buy this make sure you untick Vip membership card thats hidden on the payment page.

^ agree with them trying a fast one with VIP membership. They're part of the Dixon's group now so should be a little better. I'll feedback on my experience

I've always had PC's but need a better quality OS and software to mix and mashup mine and my friends music. A simple Windows system just doesn't have the quality software support for this.

This is an 18% saving on the hardware; if anyone can find this cheaper then this is a very hot price!

if Pixar now use Window 7 instead of sunmicro systems. i think you will find pc's have all the sortware you will ever need.
Mac's are great but in no way do they have more software choice

This is just the most incredible deal. I advise everyone who hasn't got a Mac to buy one. Mac is just better than PC in every way.

no

I love Apple Mac's but Pixmania is a no no from my experiance with them, so voted cold!

Cold. I've had bad experiences with Pixmania, and this model is cheaper in Apple's refurb store (which I've always had excellent experiences with!) - £849, or £815 with the Quidco. Same warranty as their retail sales too.

What is the matter with the Mac owners, do they have an inferiority complex or something? Every-time anything apple is posted and it does not get rave support they get all tetchy and defensive.

One is scared to even consider hitting that Blue down arrow for fear of upsetting the Mac brigade, if someone posted a Mac that cost £5000 but was worth £500 they would still complain if it went cold!

Lol not much better!

sorry, but I still dont understand why people use macs over pc's for photoshop and video editing? I hear macs are better for theses tasks, but all I hear is they are easier to use?

Can somebody explain, I mean if they really are an improvement I might be temped to get a mac book, but do imagine that I wouldnt notice a big difference between adobe photoshop on a mac or a pc, or premier?

In days of old Macs were better with Photoshop, Photoshop grew up with the Mac but PC's have caught up and nowadays there is not much difference running Photoshop on a PC, I believe it was to do with the way macs handled memory better.
You do need quite a powerful PC to run Photoshop efficiently whereas it probably runs well on any Mac.

Mac is just better for photo and video editing. It just is.

To the uninformed such as myself would you be kind enough to explain just how a Mac is better at photo editing than a PC, I have been using PS for many years on my various PC's without any problems, I really don't see how using a Mac would be any different TBH?

OS X is just the best performing operating system on the planet. It has advanced functionalities and technologies that are perfect for photo and video editors. Mac also has the best professional grade photo and video editing software. That's why every creative professional uses Mac to reach their full potential.

That still doesn't tell me how a Mac is better at photo editing than a PC! Sounds like a lot of 'Spin' to me!
