Yes it was

Does it have a use by date?

This brand came out very badly in recent tests to see if they actually met the correct SPF they stated on the bottle.. It was one of the worst!

Me and the wife used this a couple of years back when we went to the Cosford Airshow...... Never felt so ill in my life.... Nearly had 3rd degree burns with it.... I might as well have used cooking oil, we would have had more protection...

Do you get a tan if you wear this level of protection though?

No use by date on the packaging. Always used that brand for the face only and found it really good.

Wasn't piz buin the brand that used/uses a chemical in it's products that can cause severe reactions to those sensitive to it?

gosh.
Thanks for letting me know, I was gonna get one for a present

Used this on holiday in Cuba, burnt so badly i had massive blisters....switched to the cheapest stuff i could find and worked a treat. Would never buy this again!

God, just paid £5 for this in Home Bargains (well the sun cream stuff) - didn't realise it was rubbish oO

Dont worry joesmum normal piz buin is ace and unlike many others doesnt wash off at the first sight of water

I use it and like it. I hope I can get some at that price.

Bought a tube for skiing as its a handy size and I've used it before.I'd imagine 50+ sunblock is like wearing a bin bag - the industry say that inadequate application particularly following swimming and using old stuff are the most common reasons for failure. As regards allergy, anyone can be allergic to anything.Generally speaking the best sun protection to get is Australian as its treated as a medicinal product and hence the standards are really high. I bought some aussie spray in a UK poundshop some years ago and found it brilliant. Eyes open!

I wear and only ever wear factor 50, and yes you will still 'tan' if that what you want... Although having lost someone very recently and very quickly to melanoma, for me tanning is the last thing I ever want now :,-(

good price

SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor, it means you can stay in the sun 50x longer than if you weren't wearing it at all. So if you go out in SPF 50 for 100 minutes its the equivalent of going out unprotected for 2 minutes.

i.e. you'll get two minutes worth of tan per 100 minutes.

Normal piz buin is fine!

Oh you'll get a tan alright, you'll look like a burned out fence.

It's crap you may aswell use none...

This brand was highlighted in a Which investigation as having major issues of SPF claimed vs real SPF. You get what you pay for.
