I love this pizza

Its a real sloppy pizza goes everywhere

just wish they would come up with some different topping..

Good deal

Just wondering, am I the only person that does not think these pizzas are not that great at all? I bought it on offer the sloppy Giuseppe one from Sainsburys. Even for the offer price I thought it was a rip off but because its so popular I thought I would give it a shot. How disappointed was I. Iceland's £0.80 pizza (think they are £1 now) is better than this, I was really surprised, the cheese are in cubes which they claim as their special thing but it makes no difference and there is so little cheese, in general so little topping. My tongue was not entertained more of an eating to live pizza where as I like to eat pizzas to enjoy. Is this why its popular its healthier?

I have nothing against Pizza Express and this is a hot deal and clearly people like them, am I the only person who doesn't think they are all that though?.

Haha good OP comment! I normally buy cheap pizzas instead of bases then add my own toppings and some oregano, they're alright and cheap.

I'll try this though for £1.99 if Im Tesco next and the offer is on

Totally agree with you, I just find all the supermarket Pizza Express pizzas, when, once cooked, taste like they've been in a swimming pool. It's just a soggy mess.

Did they stop selling Pollo ad Astra in supermarkets? Was in love with it, can't find it anywhere any more. Good deal this, though.

I think sainsbury's do it, they have about 5 different types in my store.

Am I the only one who thinks that a 'sloppy Giuseppe' sounds like an unsavoury sexual act? Like a 'dirty Sanchez' but healthier.

These are never going to be as nice as the pizzas from the restaurant of the same name. At the end of the day they are produced in a factory and reheated in an oven at home. You just cannot replicate the taste of freshly made dough/stone ovens in the restaurant. So even though the names are the same as those on the menu, they just do not taste the same.

Therefore the premium pricing is not really justified. At half price though these are a good deal but whenever I have them I am just reminded how much nicer the "real thing" is.

Let's face it, Andy Murray got his mum to rush out to the Wimbledon Pizza Express and they fired up the ovens after closing time to make him one on Monday. If she had come back from Tesco with one to pop in the oven I can imagine he would have sent it into the stratosphere.......
