Love this blu-ray... One of the faves in my collection, although I paid £50 for it when it first hit the shelves I don't regret it, as it is worth that much. Yes the BBC is just that good.

brilliant show, looked stunning in hd, look forward to the rest of the series and then buying the box set

The Life series was awesome in HD last night. The BBC are bringing out a joint box set of Planet Earth and Life on Blu-Ray. I'm not a fan of Asda/Walmart, but I'm certainly a fan of the series!

That's on my sky hd anytime at the moment, How good is it compared to planet earth, life, etc ?

Fantastic series. One thing I should point out for those who didn't realise. The DVD version of Planet Earth actually has more content than the Blu-ray version. After each episode is a 15 minute 'making of' documentary, which is rather interesting to watch, about how they captured the footage for that particular episode. It adds up to rather a lot of extra watching, so I suppose unless you want it specifically for the Blu-ray quality HD footage, go for the DVD version. Much cheaper than the Blu-ray too (Believe I saw it on here for a tenner recently).

I caught Life, thought it was fantastic actually! All those months and years of trying to capture footage, all that work condensed down to a few minutes per location! Mad really. Incredible stuff though.
