Review

Robert Rodriguez brings you Planet Terror a retro futuristic horror film unlike any other!

An experimental bio-weapon is released - turning thousands of people into zombie-like creatures. As the multiplying horde of frenzied zombie's approach, a dangerous outlaw named Wray (Freddy Rodriguez), a sexy stripper named Cherry (Rose McGowan), an unscrupulous smuggler named Abby (Naveen Andrews), and the curiously incapacitated Dr. Dakota Block (Marley Shelton) must try and stop the infected and escape to a place untouched by the nightmare.

Hmmms, this doesn't seem to have Death Proof with it - I thought the point of this release was to be a "Double Bill"

I have both on download and I've never managed to watch 'em all the way through. I can't vote on this because of the nature of the film** and the cheekyness of splitting a double bill

**I like wierd stuff and love both Robert Rodriguez and Tarantino but didn't enjoy this but not seen all the way through

edit: Ok, thinking about the spirit of the forum thus it is a deal then I've voted hot - I just wouldn't buy it is what I mean

You're thinking of Grindhouse, that was never released in the UK.
Grindhouse is made up of 2 films, Death Proof & Planet Terror.

If you want Death Proof it is available on ]Play.com for £5, however it is considered to be the weakest of the 2 films with very low review scores.

Planet terror is very silly and very funny after a few can's on a saturday night.
Death proof i thought, was the biggest pile of poo ever!

I paid £7.98 for Planet terror age's ago, so fiver is a ok deal
I borrowed Death proof from a work coleague, so pleased i never bought that coaster.

Planet Terror was the best film of 2007 - HOT HOT HOT!

Great Movie - 10x Better than Death Proof IMHO

i thought both films were excellent. just my type of film

I really would love to own a grindhouse box set.

I love Zombie movies and Tarantino/Rodrigeous but not sure about this!

Marks out of 10 for this film please, fellow hotukdealsers :-)

I love from dusk til dawn and think plant terror is almost as good. Death proof is not as bad as everyone says, its worth watching. Ideally i would love a boxset of the two at a reasonable cost, but will probably buy this as a £5 for Planet Terror is a bargain.

I'd give it 6/10 - it's a tongue-in cheek zombie flick. Not the likes of Dawn of the Dead or George A Romreo [sp] category but more towards the Dusk till Dawn category..

Both are great for different reasons. Watch DP first then this... PT is quality schlock, DP is intelligent trash.

Do not underestimate these films - watch 'em on a big tv with beers and friends!

Genius Products will finally release Planet Terror and Death Proof on Blu-ray Disc on 16th December 2008 in the USA (SRP £15.99 each). Extras, however, appear to be identical to the prevoius DVD editions.

Planet Terror is ace, Death Proof is pants.

Can't wait for Machete - ]imdb.com/tit…94/
