This is a good deal. Voted hot.
Bonkers low price.

I have just built up the Planet X London Road frameset, mainly for the extra tyre width and have been very impressed with the finish and quality of the frame and forks. Plus I got 20% off on xmas day.

Hot from me.
no pedals ?
The carbon frame over twice the price for about 20gms less and not as good looking .... planetx.co.uk/i/q…set
Worth noting it's £99 + £20 delivery, which may be useful if you're building oyur own bike, and going to be ordering other components from Planet X. No extra delivery costs.

The difference between carbon and alloy isn't just about weight!

Although decent alloy is often as good as cheap carbon

I have a feeling it's more like 0.6kg, the weight of the the carbon one includes the forks
I'd love to use to build a 1x11 flatbar but never done a full build and a bit hesitant...

Doubt it would be a cheap exercise though - even if you get all the right bits first time and discount your time to zero.

Think you meant that for akexuk rather than me but then when is love fully about finance? and also at the end what he will have learnt in doing so and be better equipped in maintaining and further builds.

Cost wise is going to be dependent on what he goes for, although a cheap donar bike with a cracked frame might be a consideration.

most 1x11 groupsets on sale though are disc which this frame isn't.
Yes. Noticed the disc issue too...
You will need a Tapered integrated headset, a Bottom bracket guide and a 31.8mm seatclamp as well. If you shop around you can get all these for under £20. PX do the BB guide for £1

What disc issue?

It's a road bike frame and road bikes don't have disc brakes.

Ribble currently has some Tiagra Flat Bar shifters and brakes for not too much money. I've specced a full bike out using them and Planet X for components for less than £500.

Really decent deal!

A big hammer will make this frame disc friendly....
