The return of the unbeatable Franko Bianco Track Bike

Carbon fibre track frame with aggressive race geometryOversized headtube and bottom bracket for impeccable stiffness and handlingstiff, durable 32-spoke alloy wheels

DetailsSpecGeometry(0 Review)

It's a special edition of the seminal carbon framed Planet X Track offering a full Carbon frameset at an unbeatable price. Simple, clean white lines lend it a timeless, classic look- it's a bike that looks as sharp as it rides and one sure to turn heads at the velodrome.

The Planet X Pro Carbon Track Frame:

Ultra stiff and super responsive. Designed with all track disciplines in mind. The fully loaded "Pro Carbon comes complete with carbon aero seatpost, seatpost clamp and full carbon forks.

Light enough to leap off the blocks, agile enough for points race mayhem but stiff enough to channel every watt into a winning performance. We're not surprised our full carbon track frame and fork is a multiple national champion. This Comp version offers the ideal balance of maximum value and podium hunting velocity.

Our full carbon track bikes are the bees knees of track bikes, with a stiffer, more power efficient ride, plenty of fast maneuverability and the best power to weight ratio of all bikes.

Ridden to victory by Planet X's team in the 2009 National Team Pursuit.

oops double posted.... sorry first timer

Awful wheels. Especially for track. Hardly anyone uses 32 spokes on the road, never mind track where being that much more aero counts a lot more. Especially if the bikes frame etc is bring advertised as aero. Although most track enthusiasts will already have a set of discs so.....

Love it, can't beat one gear, been out on my cooper spa today, wonderful.

Still trolling the bike threads 'madam'? I've no idea whether you're right or not in this case but the suspicion has to be that you're sore you haven't managed a 'front page' post yet.

I suggest being nice to people until you've proven your judgement is right.

Cold, Not a Ducati,

Spoke count doesn't contribute anywhere near as much to aero properties as rim depth/ profile (talking 1-5 watt difference from 16-32, basically stuff all). Good bike to start track riding, don't take it on the road as the fork isn't drilled for a brake and would be illegal, and dangerous, to ride without.

Okay. Check this site:

For anyone that's about to complain there's no pedals, there's also no brakes either!

But do go ahead with comparing the value to a car, though.

Yep. I agree.

Nice looking bike. Wouldn't mind commuting on this though I imagine it would be horribly uncomfortable and no front brake option.

I wouldn't commute on this, might get it dirty!

Not a commuting bike in all honesty, no brake, no mudguard eyes, short wheelbase.

genesisbikes.co.uk/bik…yer

Is the sort of fixed/free for commuting, can even stick a rack on it.

Thanks for that might be an upgrade from my kona paddy wagon. Since it got a dedicated rack mount!

What are you moaning about? It is carbon track frame, if you can afford that you can afford carbon wheels later on.

I doubt anyone is arguing the stock wheels are the most aero option. It's obvious the wheels aren't the best in order to keep the price down. Sure, get some full on aero ones included and pay £300 more for it. Most PX bikes are built to order so you can probably opt for something else anyway.

You won't notice the difference between this and a girls bike for 100 bones. All bikes are the same after all.

Now that looks sexy...

My comment about commuting on it was because it's such a fine looking bike that trackstanding it would result in me being swarmed by all the hot city girl workers that populate Canary Wharf.

I realise it's completely unsuitable for commuting but that'd be secondary given the inevitable fanny-fest it'd deliver.

Erm, I'd say the iPhone 6. But the phone or PC you're currently using is probably more of a rip off than this bike.

Erm... It is a track bike meaning it should have no gears, no free hub. It is essentially a fixie so brakes would basically be useless.
