Not seeing anything scary?

Murder weapon?

Looks good value.

I managed to upgrade to hydraulic brakes for an extra £50 when I called them after a phone call to them.

It'd be better as a commuter if it had narrower drop handlebars.

If I used a flat bar bike for commuting I'd hit even more wing mirrors than I do now as I ride in the narrow gap betwwen cars in traffic jams.

Reasonable price if that's exactly what you want.
But London road is a fairly basic frameset. Heavy and poorly made (at least in the past).
It's basically a hybrid with a fancy road drivetrain.
If you're looking for a commuter I'd probably look at actual hybrids. The geometry will be better and chances are there will be another sale at Halfords soon

Murder weapon?

That's an unhealthy association. Would you go around car dealerships worried about all the murder weapons? I mean, someone has been killed with Sheffield steel spoon... but spoons generally do good things, like deliver I've cream to your mouth...

Unless you were just trying to be controversial? In which case, that's not exactly in good taste.

I find my about right for an aluminium with carbon forks. Frame is great so far, but only had it for about 3 months. Halfords do a similar hybrid with a x1, although is £1000 and cheaper drivetrain, and same weight? Personally I prefer a flat handlebar but each to their own.

I prefer commuting on a flat handlebar although I cut them down to 80cm width which is just right for me.
