Hang on, the price has been £999.99 for yonks, how can this be a deal if the price goes up by 200 quid, then they temporarily put it down again? And it previously had Ultegra 6800 but now fitting 6700... I don't know how these differ but presume 6800 is better/newer?

yep, 6800 is 11 speed, this is only 10.

not a deal really as the spec is lower so the price is also lower. But, having said that, still a cracking price for a full carbon fiber Ultegra 6700 bike!

Sorry, no, but not a good deal. The one before with the FULL 6800 a couple of months ago, including the brakes and chain WAS a good deal at £999. I believe this was a way to bring back some customers, after a few reviewers stated it was not FULL Ultegra. After they sold the pre-decided amount of bikes at that price hiked it up to the £1200 which was a fairer price for the kit they were selling.

This one has been stripped of a lot of the good components I presume so as they can still make a profit with a RIDE2WORK bike price.

PS (Grinning as I managed to get hold of the full 6800 one!)

I got the previous one! And it's cool yeah:-)

with ultegra... has a massive FSA branded crank/chainset

FSA chainset.

I suspect Planet-X are doing these specials (also a 105 Tour special) on the Pro-carbon frame because they are just about clean out of the RT-58 frames.

I'm looking for a bike I can be comfortable on the whole day, and for that reason, I reckon I'll wait for a deal on an RT-58.

I think the £999.99 SRAM rival version is better than this special addition ultegra 6700. I'd probably prefer the 105 tour version too...

This deal good if you want the bike straight away though.

Not voting on this one.

Feeling pretty smug with my full 6800 pro carbon for the same price :-)
