Crossing the Bay of Biscay not once, but twice. Leaving the continental shelf for the deep ocean. That's the time and place where the largest ever wave was recorded - 6 storeys high. Where the second highest wave was recorded - a mere 12 metres higher than the main deck. Higher than a house, by far. Me? I'd love to go. It could be like a three week, no wait, wet water ride with no queues. I wonder if there is a dating site for the like-minded, so I could find someone to go with me?

One day perhaps!

Could be a bit of chop in the sea there in winter. Like the log flume at Alton Towers for three weeks solid.

What a beauty

My mum's doing this trip at the moment and is sending me photos of it as she goes.

And it looks stunning. £379 is a bargain.

How much did you spend during the week?

Very little. We bought our own tickets to Flam railway, climbed Pulpit Rock, went kayaking. All of this we did on our own rather than excursions. We took some alcohol on board ourselves in our case when boarding and I think once we had the cocktail of the day. You can spend as little or as much as you want depending on the amount of alcohol you consume and what you want to see and do at the different places.

Yep - that's mean.

The QM2 is pretty huge, with plenty to do and see. Ideally suited to lots of sea days. You could have a much more relaxing time without having lots of ports of call to visit, if that's what you want. Alternatively you could workout, learn to dance, go to lectures, etc., etc.

That's the price they pay for our cheap cruises, and you still get people too mean to leave them a tip. oO

A couple of friends of mine recently returned from a cruise where the 'tip' was mandatory on all service. For example they were sitting in the lounge of a bar and asked for some mints which cost around £1.50, they were charged £8 service charge for bringing it.
