Scan, more like scam. All these plantronics at scab are a bad batch and won’t turn on/ charge. Do not buy.
I did buy 800HS and it is working fine. I would say purrrfect ...

These are by far the Best headsets you can get right now in terms of price and quality of sound. I've tried a lot. Also these are SUPER Light and you can game for hours without any head pain. It's a BUY from me. Head added.

Just to give you all heads up when purchasing. Don't expect any support form Plantronics. Warranty issues will be via SCAN or the below.

Please note the below company has been useless to date, as I have tried to contact them and its been 2 months and nothing with countless emails.

******* DISCLAIMER *******

Plantronics has sold the IP for this headset to nacongaming.com/

So support is gone out the window.
|Ordered so hopefully no problems...will report back when I get them.
I was going to get this headset (although it was oos everywhere) then i found out that plantronics sold off the "RIG" brand to someone else so as above there will be no support for these going forwards.....

I understand your concern but if there’s any issue I’ll be sending them back to scan.

That said, Plantronics headsets are generally solid.
I have a set of these, decent for this type of money.

Bought from Very, was DOA. They had run oos.

Claimed via Plantronics, sent them back to them they sent a replacment, DOA.

Second set worked fine.

Worried that support has gone out the window though as should have a 2 year warranty with Plantronics
I bought 2 sets of these last year from another supplier. both sets DOA and wouldnt charge.
Contacted Plantronics ( they were a good price and sold out by the time I got them) and got warranty swap out with courier label supplied with full new retail replacements sent back. Havent missed a beat since.

Disagree mate... These were the best value by a mile.

hotukdeals.com/dea…761

There's literally no comparison between the two headsets... The Audio-Technica ones are on a different planet.
A set that came in two releases apparently. One with sidetone (mic monitoring) and one without.
Mine don't have it, though I wanted it.

Sold another five through my marketplace and the Dolby Surround code with one set didn't work, according to a customer. He had to pay Plantronics for a replacement code! Other than that, none of the other four had any issues.
these were on sale for >£60.00. ordered one and had to return due to not charging / turning on. Was informed that no more stock was available however theyre still pushing for sale. i would avoid due to bad batch.

They don't support Dolby 7.1 and a lot of games like Modern Warefare, Tomb Raider and next gen games have this...

They also leak sound both directions....

Also they are wired, less clutter please, another minus....

Also what about EQ, these have 4 presets...

So I have to disagree with you 100%

Actually, stereo speakers are generally the best for games... Including the likes of Modern Warfare.

Leak sound because they're open back... But believe me, open back is generally better for gaming. The sound is far more natural and you can very accurately pinpoint direction of footsteps etc.

Yes they are wired... But generally they work best for gaming.

You literally can't compare the quality of the drivers and brilliance of the sound stage on the Audio-Technica's to these headphones... Like I said, they are literally on different planets.

I'm more concerned with non fault product support... like doesnt work with X series X or develops a crackle after a windows update...

I agree that plantronics are a good brand, thats why I started looking in to them, they do get a great review.
I’ve been looking for a wireless headset for PC and Xbox, these look great but the lack of support is a concern. Is this the best option for under £100?

It’s a good bet that these will be supported by the series X. I wouldn’t worry about Windows updates causing an issue; if you did that you’d never be a pc owner.

I’m not sure about that but I think they’re a good option at this price point. I would have preferred the steel series Arctis 9x but it’s a lot more.

1. 7.1 is only useful if you have a PC. For console gaming you can't get actual 7.1 sound at all, no matter what faux attempts a manufacturer might try to make.

2. You obviously don't understand why an open back can be good. Either way, that is your preference, not a fact that closed back is 'better'.

3. Wired/wireless is again, a preference and not a fact about one being better than the other.

4. If all you have to your argument is 4 presets then you aren't doing well. Especially as most presets are trash.

So at best, you have one half valid point.

Yeah I looked at them but completely different price point, over double the price of these

I've been looking for an xbox one headset recently, I was under the impression that wireless headsets can have 7.1.
Could you explain why 7.1 isn't possible on a console? Thanks

Pc headphones are able to either use usb + software l, or front, rear and side phono inputs to produce surround sound.

With consoles, the audio is wirelessly transmitted in stereo, so that's all the headphones can produce... Unless they have built in processing, which will just be virtual.
It looks like Dolby atmos is the best way to get a surround experience, the software is better than any other virtual surround for headphones or even a 'true 7.1 headphone'

So if you need a new headset then these seem like a good bet since a voucher for atmos is included. Otherwise just use your existing headset and pay the £14.24 for atmos via dolby access
Badass headset, got a pair for my son and for me..... Outstanding quality sound, and the dolby atmos is awesome. I tested out alot, in currys, beats turtle beaches, steel series, logitech’s, and these are so comfortable, of you’re looking to purchase a headset, these i would definitely recommend 10/10
These are showing as a pre order, has anyone ordered and had any update? Very tempted!
Headset being shipped today.
Mine arrived today, ordered weds
I’ve had them charging. Just having a blast now and to me they are phenomenal (and that’s coming from a 5.1 dts-hd home theatre setup). I’ve installed the Atmos that comes with them, tried on a few tester videos and now playing titan fall 2. First impressions are great, super comfy too!

Superb. Cheers. I thought they were a great buy for the price, and it seems I wasn’t far wrong.

Possibly, sorry. Yeah had to give the heads up though. I’ve literally never had an item DOA in. My life and I use hotukdeals often, and then I saw majority of people having problems with these headsets. To me though, for the price it’s probably better to get a Corsair void wireless or a Logitech wireless imo.

Fair enough, but maybe you could have stated the better alternatives in your first post? And do those headsets have wireless and a dolby Atmos license included for the same price or better?

The headset has arrived and it looks like a solid heaset. Build quality is good. Sound quality is very good. Fit is very good. The usb base tranceiver can be connected to a PC and used for VOIP apps.

I also have a Arctis 9x but this headset is a good alternative and for the price I would say a better purchase.

I ordered a pair of these around a week ago from a different supplier and had the non-charging issue so sent them back. Having done some reading online, it seems that this is a very common issue.

What was the symptom for that? Any lights that show an error?

Quite the opposite.

No lights at all, no power, no charging. Tried multiple USB cables and multiple USB ports on PC, Xbox and direct from the plug.
So I’ve had these and so far they’ve been superb. Excellent value for money.
