I failed too. I remember getting to level 19 once, then dying. I never played it again!

It's amazing how hard old games are when you play them again.

Your lucky I think the 1st levels have been burnt into my muscle memory forever, and now the musics on repeat in my head now but still got urge to have a another go just to check
Splat.
Wot, no Knight Lore? Or Alien 8 (admittedly just a futuristic knock-off).

I dont think it was possible to finish games in those days the levels just got harder and harder untill they were impossible. Autosave would of been a nice feature too, i might give jet set willy a go later just for the 🎶. i never really understood what i was meant to be doing in it tho 😄
Am now at the top of Hubbys awesome list, cheers
Great website...heat added. I know it’s ‘sad’ but it feels like Xmas has come early!...only downside...no Atic Atac. I played that game for MANY hours. Now I remember what I did back in the day! Oh well plenty of other good games listed. thanks OP.
Most grateful for this. Loving the nostalgia.
Just leaving a comment so I can find this later after work, cheers!
I now have Attic Attac on my Xbox One! I can't remember the key mappings! I tried playing Hungry Horace with 1234 keys and it's really difficult! I had a ComCon back in the day so I could play any game with a joystick! Now I have to use Xpadder and have to work out the keys. I still have everything listed on that page as originals (well except for the selections after 1999!)

Deathchase is an awesome game. Like driving through the forest on a speeder biker from return of the Jedi!!
There's a "new" version of Football Manager by Kevin Toms on mobile, but it's good to revisit the original again. Among others... at work... just before finishing for Christmas. Impeccable timing.
Thanks so much! Great trip down Memory Lane, a lot of my favs are on there..loved Pippo and Trap Door. "Berk, bring me more worms"
Oh to have Manic Miner back in my life, so may hours..

There's another for Operation Yewtree
For real nostalgia you need a Dragon 32 emulator...

Scorchio!!! I can still remember having to record what volume to load the tape on to get it to work. Always different for each game. What glorious wasted hours and thanks to Hotukdeals, I can lose even more. No wonder VR isn't taking off whem we have the spectrum available.

Oh.. I forgot about all the times I would have to keep changing the volume to get 'The Hobbit' to load, its just so easy now..
Thanks for sharing, was wondering what to do instead of work
