Attention, recruits! If you haven't already had the opportunity to suit up and save the world as one of the heroes of Overwatch, now's your chance.

From November 17–20, we're calling on all prospective agents: assemble your team and dive in during the Overwatch Free Weekend on PC, PlayStation 4, or Xbox One!

For this free weekend, we're making Overwatch's full roster of 26 heroes and 16 maps available for play in a variety of modes, including Quick Play, Custom Games, and the Arcade. Players will also have the ability to level up, earn Loot Boxes, and unlock a variety of different customization options.

Plus, if you decide to purchase Overwatch after test driving the game, you'll get to keep any progress that you made during the weekend—just be sure to use the same Blizzard, Sony Entertainment, or Xbox Live account that you played on.

My 7 year old loves this.
I genuinely can't see the appeal.
Thanks for the heads up.

How does multiplayer compare to Rainbow and Gears?

It's a completely different type of experience. Team Fortress 2 is the closest thing to it really, a class based shooter which is all about team dynamic.

The best multiplayer game of this generation for me and it has serious legs! Highly recommend trying

Cheers luv!

Fun with friends not so much fun with randoms.

Oh lord. Another free play weekend where I try again to convince myself to like the game 😄 thanks OP!

The best?....naaaahhh

Really hope digital price is discounted

Tick-tock tick-tock tick-tock tick-tock!

This is the only FPS that never gives me motion sickness. Love it. Play it every week to get the bonus lootboxes even when I'm focused on a different game.

The first free weekend I tried this on, I didn't 'get' the game, but the second free weekend I tried again because I loved the trailer and look of it and suddenly I was hooked. Now, me, my wife and two young kids all take turns on it! It's such good fun once you realise each character plays drastically differently, plus they constantly update with new characters, maps and play modes.

I personally love it. It’s so easy to pick up and play. Rounds are short and always action packed, with so many clutch moments. There are a lot of characters that enable different play styles with varying skill levels, which should make it accessible to all types of gamers. It’s also very polished and well supported by the devs. Great game

All of the above plus a handful of saltiness

How does multiplayer compare to Rainbow and Gears?

Its hard to compare, it's a role based shooter with very different roles. The good part is there are characters you can play if your aim is rubbish but still help the team, you could be one of the healers, supports or tanks which don't require perfect aiming. This opens up the game to a much bigger player Base. It also a good challenge to try learning all the mechanics of a new character. If your aim is awesome you can play some of the higher mechanical skilled characters.

I've bought the game 3 times, once for solo queue competitive mode, one for teaming up with higher rated mates and another for lower rated mates (not so fussed about that accounts rating).

There is a 4vs4 mode in arcade which is great for a quick session or warming up too.

Sometimes competitive can be a little toxic. Thankfully that's not too frequent.

For newbies I recommend going into Training > VS AI> Medium or Hard difficulty

You will have a normal online team with people and you verse bots

Again so soon, i still haven't removed it from the harddrive since the last time. Saves me buying it.
