The cheapest 32GB MicroSD card I've seen so far, due for release on 25/10/10. Still not as cheap as buying two 16GB microSD cards, but a step in the right direction!

Just to clarify, this isn't an SD card (i.e the kind typically used in many cameras); this is microSD (i.e. the kind typically used in many mobiles), so if you are aware of cheaper cards, please check that it's a microSD one!

good price, and finally, getting some speed!

Looks good, only thing that annoys me is Play's awful service.

I wonder how long before these get down to ~£1/GB....still hot

I want one of these for my phone.....but not at this price.
I can wait.

Looks good, but won't buy because Ive had it with Play.

i cant pay this price when my san fran only cost a few pounds more!

I totally agree! Used them recently for the first time in ages, they still seem to be just as hopeless when things go wrong.

+1. They delivered an incorrect item to me, which I returned. I still haven't been refunded, and their 'customer service' suggestion to get the correct item (it was a BOGOF deal - they got one item correct, one wrong) was to buy the right one again, along with something else I didn't want, and then return the thing I didn't want. ????

Anyway - good price, hot. I bought 2 x 16GB yesterday off eBay though for £26, but would have been prepared to pay more for a bigger card. Hot for me.

Not bad at all! Probably worth a thread in its own right if it doesn't have one already. For what it's worth, even though the 7dayshop one is only Class 2, I've rarely encountered a situation where the speed difference between Classes 2 and 4 matters. Whether you'd notice depends on how the card is being used, and the device it's in, I guess.

AGREED!

Had some faulty headphones and they wouldn't take them back and the manufacturer kept pointing me back to play as it was within the first 12 months warranty. Play refused repeatedly and it wasn't til I was given the name of one of Play's senior bods did I manage to get it returned.

And then they said they'd run out of the headphone and refunded me the money i'd paid yet had the set I had returned but for £10 more. Seems they didn't want to replace them with a like for like item due to an increase in their costs.

Totally unacceptable and terrible CS. I don't use them for anything that can fail (eg electronics) these days as a result.

any views on a good value 16GB?

Handy tip: Since ebay is notorious for fake and faulty SD cards, make sure to test the ones you've bought with the following software:

That is a good bit of software by the look of it. Ebay is a minefield for buying flash memory. I think if the cards turns up and have 14.9GB free space (or whatever a formatted card has) then if you only bought a class 2 it is likely to be genuine. I don't think anyone would rebrand a cheap class 2 microSD as a class 2 sandisk. It wouldn't be worth their while because the price difference is pretty small. It is the faster sandisk cards that seem to get ripped off the most.

Class 4 is sloooow, class 2 isn't worth a look in. Class 4 would be ok for a mobile phone or low end digital camera. I'm not sure what the point of class 2 is really.

My class2 32gb sandisk writes at about 5.5-6MB/s so the speed can vary quite a bit.

Anyone know what the limited warranty terms are? or where I can read them?

But it's not just the branding and 'class' that's being faked but the capacity too! Hence, test with the software, you may find the capacity that your computer reports isn't true, eg. a 2GB card falsely reporting itself as 4 or 8GB (thus data corruption).

Simate I'm not sure what the point of class 2 is really.

Huge music storage?
That's what I'd buy a cheap 32gb one for.
Not really worried about video in the phone but a bigger music library would be good.
