So for this "deal" I have to spend £150 to get £15 back? Yeah, not looking too hot to me.

i have this card and having just bought a house and doing it up i'm spending quite a bit on it and the points are soon clocking up.... havent paid for a blu ray in sometime since ive had this card !

I applied for this card but haven't got a reply back. Was I supposed to give them a call?

You mean you don't think you'll spend £150 within 90 days? LOL... It's not just spending on Play... it's spending ANYWHERE.

cold. firstly i will never get a scorecard secondly if i was to get one, i think this is the worst one ive come across. someone tried persuading me in JD sports and other stores which they offered 20% off (in jd) for what i am buying now, so i would rather have money off than receive points

another reason why you shouldn't get it in my own experience, third party companies not for me its like getting a t-mobile contract from carphonewarehouse or other less known stores where you wont get a good service as when you go direct to a company i.e t-mobile, you will only notice that when you have a fault with there product

you will be dealing direct with mbna CS. Play wont set up its own CS team just for CC servicing. MBNA used to be great for CS but they spam the death out of you for years even after cancelling your card.

Initial offer seems pretty good - effectively 10% of any spending as Play credit (better than any cashbakc credit card). After that it falls to 1% which is OK but unspectacular. It's a while since I've had a new credit card as they don't do many introductory offers (I had 2 mobile phones and 3 Accurist watches off MBNA a few years back) but might be (temporarily) tempted away from my Amex cashback for £15.

I'm assuming the cold votes are people who don't like credit cards (they're great if you pay in full every month - effectively just a debit card with cashback - but a nightmare if you don't) or don't understand that it's a credit card not a store card (which are mostly pretty pointless these days).

are you 100% sure? because my sister had a bhs store card which was run by Barclay but she had to deal with bhs, and a store card is very long if you want it cancelled, those people just dont take no for an answer

@ MR1123 - I don't think you understand how credit cards work. Store cards (such as JD) are also operated by 3rd parties as are many bank credit cards (in a weird series of business takovers my wife ended up with a HBOS credit card run by MBNA and I ended up with an MBNA card which had been bought up by HBOS! It made no difference whatsoever).

JD Sport's store card is a Style card which is a subsidiary of Royal Bank of Scotland who are pretty much a subsidiary of the government. Talk about 3rd party - you've effectively got a credit card from George Osbourne that you can only use in one shop. I think I'd rather pay with that foldy-up paper stuff we all used to use in the 80s

A store card is completely different from a credit card (see post above mine)

I did this one last year. Good deal. MBNA customer service has also been good. I pay off the balance in full each month, so it's basically a way for me to get £5-£10 a month in Play.com vouchers for free. I can't complain with that.
