For real? seems ace deal!

This does seem like a great price, currently £205 on ebuyer and £247 on scan!

crazy misprice,voted hot

For a Gigabyte branded 5850, this is a stonking price, that is if it insn't a misprice, and is actually honoured.

Well i've ordered, so will update is the order status changes.

They also have the gtx470 OC edition at a really good price

play.com/PC/…tml?searchstring=gigabyte&searchtype=allproducts&searchsource=0&searchfilters=s{gigabyte}%2b&cpage=2#

£190 which is about £40 cheaper than scan and has performance that almost reaches the 480 level!

have just ordered the one from ccl for £127. what to do? oO

if it is a misprice, it certainly wont be honoured - play dont do that sort of thing.

I dont think it is a misprice. I think it's ATI's fight against the Nvidia 460 GTX. 5850 is an older card so dropping it below the 460's when it is slightly better with more OC potential is a smart move.

Maybe it's just wishful thinking.

WOW, what a great price, let's hope it is honoured

Ordered one....hope it arrives its a right billy bargain.
Thanks for the heads up.

Hot, Cant order until tomorrow tho

If it's not an error it is certainly a good price for a 5850. I have been waiting for the inventory clearout to start happening prior to the release of the 6950/6970 next month

This is a steal its as fast as the 6870 pretty much and is way cheaper than 6850 so its a great card, i still have a 4890 but am going to be upgrading soon but no doubt i will get the 6870 but this price drop if is right is going to force the nvidia 460/470 right down as this cards faster.

This is a mistake this is there top card with overclock model number GV-R585OC-1GD. This would make this the same price as a 5770 which would mean there whole range of cards would be worth nothing and with Play being Play you have no chance of getting this card you will either get a cancellation or a 5770 and loads of agro so im not bothering.

Price has just jumped to 114.99

Also says RRP is £149.99

Ordered for crossfire, thank you.

awesi=ome deal if they honour it! still happy with my £49 4870 tho (_;)

Very good price.

99.999% sure this is a misprice, given that slower cards are more expensive. So play won't honour.

Gone up by a couple of squid but not expired.

No mention about OC on the title... so you could get the non OC model which will costs 180 elsewhere!

Was looking to get a new graphics card... Given this a punt... If they don't honour, I'll just have to keep looking

This needs unexpiring; £2 increase.... but still £40 cheaper than the next cheapest on the market. (and that's for a crappy sapphire not a gigabyte!)

Holy crap, what a price!

Any chance of a £250 5970 lol

Worth a punt! Ordered 2!

2x 5850's in Xfire will murder the 5970 with ease as these can play all games on max on there own so 2x 5850's would be monstrous but useless really as there's nothing to benefit from the them or the 5970 and that's is for people with more money than sense.

The 5750 is the same price theres no way in hell thats right and no one will get one check it out

would one be better of with 2 x Ati HD4670 in crossfire or one of these ?

Woah nice, I have a 4870 1GB overclocked, would I notice much difference with one of these? Not bothered about DX11 effects tbh

RRP £149.99? Don't see this being honoured, it's clearly a mistake.

Don't forget Quidco.... 0.5%!:D

Thought the 5970 was pretty much 2x 5850's bolted together anyway? Most benchmarks put them pretty close (in games that scale properly with xfire)

Plus I don't have a xfire capable motherboard, so its a moot point anyway

No doubt this is a great card and good deal, but if I was you I would stick with the 4870 for now and put some cash bye for the next range of cards due out. The 4870 is no slouch, even if it is a couple of years old now.

Would i be better off going for a 6850? Apparently they have one less power cable port?

8600GT is my current card. Is this tons better?

Yes it's tons better.

I have a 4890 so i'm going to hold out for a while longer, I want a Nvidia this time round.

Meh brought one... lol.
