Probably not the best move to get her/him one of these as a Valentine's Gift but it might be a novel idea to buy one now if you're thinking of cooking her/him breakfast.

Sure to earn you a few brownie points and may just be the deciding factor in gaining a peaceful day.

Eggs over easy please !

Thinking of ordering one, but not sure if I have something that can get under the eggs to turn them over!

Stuff it! Just ordered one anyway, for the sole purpose of making te Mrs breakfast on Valentine's Day!

Even if I mess up, she'll love the "try hard" effort I expect.

HOT

That is so cute
Thanks hottoshop +Heat & Rep

No way am I cooking her breakfast on valentines, the hotel staff in Venice can do that!

Am I allowed to ask 'how do you like your eggs in the morning?'

THINK of the trouble you'd be in if you just bought and gave the frying pan to your other half, rather than cooking breakfast ha...:p

You can buy heart shaped cookie cutters for the toast as well !!

Can't find them cheap enough online but they're usually available in the High St, someone like Woolies.
(Pair of scissors will do too , lol)

Lol, send the love of your life to an early grave.

Thank you, just ordered one. heat added.
we had egg and bacon, etc for tea last night. Putting 4 eggs in the pan, they all run into each other and then you end up with a knife in a non stick pan. Separating the eggs to start with seems a much better idea. The bacon went under the grill.
Did enyone get the heart shaped red plates that were FREE with the marg tubs last year? well I bought 4, we were eating up that marg for ages..... I wonder if the offer will be repeated in Sainsbury's this year?
Valantine's day is on a Thursday this year. Best Wishes all.

I would not suggest that you actually bought one of these as a present - but as a way of doing breakfast on any morning - what a cute treat for a loved one.

I have, believe it or not, been looking for something like this for ages - so I can do my son and hubby's eggs and pancakes in that cute shape. Great price too.

The term brownie points is a rather disgusting reference to licking someones bottom.

Most romantic!

Well really !
Termite I think you may have just given us a clue to the kind of web sites you are used to frequenting. :w00t:

The original term may well have been hijacked by the rather tacky porn industry but its true meaning is here:

I don't really understand what you're talking about, but yes the accepted UK definition of brownie points (brown noser, **** licker etc) is referred to on that Wikipedia page.

It doesnt work. I tried it. You need an oven.

You're twisting words and definitions.
The accepted UK deifinition is not the words you quote. The accepted UK definition is linked to the junior girl guide movement as I think you probably knew.

If you didn't then here is a clearer explanation for you:

I prefer to trust the OED, but again the site you mention backs me up.

Right these are my last words on the matter, the only reason I have persued it is because I wouldn't have used such terminology in the thread title had I thought it's main use was your definition.

The definition you keep referencing to relates back to American military slang and not the accepted UK definition.
If you need a better timeline on the use of the phrase look here:

By all means have the last words, just make them factual :p:)

I'm certain my girlfriend would use this if I got it for her...... to hit me over the head with it! ;-)

man theres some wierd people on this forum :whistling:

By all means have the last words, just make them factual

I have no particular desire to have the last word, I just hope that in future you will consider the fact that many people find the term highly offensive.
