Great deal! Is this the same as the cd key where it's a code sent? My son wants this for Christmas, if i buy it can I keep the code and give it to him at Christmas to open or does it need to be used straight away? I am clueless when it comes to these things!
The "Cloud Activation" thing seems a bit dodgy, nebulous at best. The support page doesn't exactly clear it up either; you're not being provided a key, but the game will be automatically activated after clicking a provided link. So are they literally accessing your account with the provided credentials? Even though I severely doubt any bad intentions on their part, it seems the kind of thing that would flag up unusual account activity from Steam and potentially be a security risk, even with Steam Guard.

Isn't it a 50 50 chance of getting the game at this price. This looks highly dodgy if you ask me.
Lootbox game purchase.....

I haven't used Cloud Activation before however, if you are worried, just set your password to something else temporary. Either way, unless you use the same password for your emails, steam guard would protect you.

GamesDeal has been around for quite a while so it's not wet behind the ears.

Good price but I think I'd rather pay the few quid extra and not risk my Steam account. Not voted either way.

Does he have a gaming PC or a Xbox?

I have purchased from them once or twice in the past which is why I'm not so concerned about their legitimacy as an entity, but all it takes is one rogue employee or sniffing opportunist. Plus it's the sheer principle of someone else having access to your account even if only for a few minutes. Pretty much every site's own support will tell you not to give your information to them.

But even ignoring the security risk, considered Valve's stance on VPNs, anyone except the original account holder using the account, and grey market purchases, I would be more worried about my account being flagged and outright banned with the confluence of stuff going on by activating like this. So much safer to buy a key you know is for your region, and call it a day, even if you have to pay a few more quid.
He's getting a laptop for Christmas and mentioned this game. From the other comments I think I'll maybe stick to the cd key one as it was only 20, I wouldn't feel comfortable giving out his account details. The cd key seems much more straight forward

Wise choice. He can also play Fortnite for free, similar game. Some people prefer it to PUBG.

it's an "app" linked to steam account, it's like using facebook to log to other websites, completeley safe
From there site.

"You want to add a 50% chance product to your cart. You will get the chosen product with a probability of 50-50 Chance. In the other case you will get a random complementary product"

Sounds like a crap deal and maybe not explained too well for a lot of people. You just know that the random key will be for some garbage game.

Whut?
Worked for me, the only thing I can tell you that it doesn't, the CD Key is chinese.
Even signed up just to reassure others. As for this loot crate rubbish thats not relevant to this particular game, its a seperate offer.

I ordered it before this deal went ot and the whole activation process is a pain in the a$$ but...it is currently authorised and downloading on Steam so...take your chances.

If they're using the Steam API then that's fine, but they didn't exactly do a good job of explaining it. Although you're still losing control over what exactly is going into your account.
I did this a couple of weeks ago but felt very uneasy when I received the full activation details. Although I've used Steam activation links in the past they never required my username, password and Steam Guard code via an external site.

I think it's far too invasive to be posted on HUKD, the price is incorrect too as they add a processing fee (approx £0.60).
How many people have used cloud activation before?
price lowered so edited the deal.
