"The best game of 2017" Voted hot.

I have done a quick check on steamdb.info/graph/

It has 2,299,396 online players at the moment while the next 22 most played games (including Dota 2 and CS:GO) have 1,621,280 players in total.
Also most of the youtube games reviewers place this on the 1st place for the best PC games of the year.

I personally don't own it I as I am a very angry and inpatient person and I will probably smash my keyboard and monitor at some point while playing this.

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10.
  • Processor: Intel Core i3-4340 / AMD FX-6300.
  • Memory: 6 GB RAM.
  • Graphics: nVidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB / AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB.
  • DirectX: Version 11.
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection.
  • Storage: 30 GB available space.

Copy and pasted this, for you. Basically, unless your PC is a dinosaur, it should run just fine.
Although, I've heard the actually game has bugs. Just bought the game myself. Need to see what
all the fuss is about

Best game of 2017 is kind of a big statement.

its a good price but I would advise to pay the extra and get through steam , so if your not impressed get a refund on it

True but that's Cloud Activation and many people would prefer to pay a little extra to be on the safe side. Good price though.

PUBG is unstable like hell, framedrops are unbearable even on i7 6700 + GTX 980 Ti (on medium-high with ultra view distance). It is still lots of fun though

I think Cloud Activation is against Steam's ToS because it relies on VPN and region locked keys, so you might end up banned on Steam.
Super addictive game took me ages to get my first chicken dinner but have 5 now .Like the new map and it is improving the problems they've had.

And Hell will have to freeze over before I give out my steam account password and steamguard code to a company so that they can “cloud activate” a game for me!

You played 1.0? I've got a way worse rig and I get a stable > 90 fps everywhere @ 1080p and everything high except view distance (low)

Oh I have no doubt that it's the most popular PC game of 2017, Steam Charts alone show that.

"Best" is a stretch, for me that would probably be Divinity: Original Sin II or Resident Evil 7 but each to their own .

I built a normal everyday pc recently, 8gb ram pentium G4600. Decided to stick a 1050ti in and it plays pubg fine.
Price is dropping fast, might wait till this drops below £10

Yes, I have played on 1.0 - avg FPS is above 100, but frame drops below 40 are still frequent, especially when playing 3-4 man squads, not to mention I am using 144 Hz display.
Best game of 2017? A lot of people seem to enjoy it but it wouldn't even feature in my top ten
Love this game and apart from every now and then where my game crashes, apparently a 'bad module', my FPS is VERY stable. I am running it on a 1070 standard clocked and an i5 6500 standard so I'm not under nor over specced but for 1080p high settings it's fine
I'm assuming it is not available on Nvidia shield
'Not a bad price for best game of 2017.' = AAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAAAaaaaaaa.....etc.

Just no.

Really? I have the same build with my 6700k at 4.6 and since 1.0 I get 80-140 fps on 1440p all setting high, it even stays above 60fps on ultra.

It’s a minor price difference for sure, but guess what muggins quite literally just bought this from Steam earlier this evening for regular price

Playing it on a 6900 cpu, 980 Ti, 16 gb ram, Intel 750 ssd on a 32” UHD ( not 4K) panel and it runs very smooth on Ultra settings. The only issues I have had over the last 3 months or so of playing it have been 2 or 3 dropped games, and a few instances of server lag since they rolled out 1.0...but not enough to spoil what I feel is a fantastic game.

Quoting the official specs is a little misleading, at best. It isn't well optimised and will not run well on that quoted system.

For reference I have an i7 4770k, 16gb ram, and a GTX 980 and I can only play it at 1080 with the settings turned down. Anything else introduces unacceptable frame rate issues - not consistently, but intermittent enough that it ruins gameplay.

It technically 'runs' on an Xbox, too. Good luck with that version.
One of only a few games in my steam library that I can't run my 2 x 7970's together, badly optimised in my view.
Been playing this for quite a while now I and i think it's still beta at best! but it sure is addictive, it's a very good game.

Spend more time on optimisation

More maps

Choice of maps before entering

There seems to be a few games recently who let people buy in at alpha stage to help develop games and then release them too early with bugs, and by the time most of these bugs are addressed, they're making the next game.
Let's hope this isn't one of them.

Well, I did also say that the actually game has bugs. Not the same as bad optimization, I know.

Based on the amount of money they made of PUBG you would expect they will employ someone who can fix their issues. Also they have introduced microtransactions of course after they promised they wouldn't

Hmm, maybe it's time to format and clean my PC
People complaining about optimisation and bugs and I’m sat playing at constant 100+ FPS with maybe 1/500 games crashing at most. Stop playing on a potato and expecting it to run like butter.
Don’t listen to the moaners saying the game runs bad. £17 quid is a bargain for a great game.

I also have the Xbox version. Was ropy but improving with each update
