this is dodgy giving out your steam account shouldnt be on hot uk deals this in my opioion
"Cloud activation" is super risky. If you're going to do this please change your password afterwards. Even then, I wouldn't risk my steam account for a few quid saving

Unknown seller and from what "Cloud Activation" looks like, you need to sign-in using your Steam credentials. Just be wary folks. See below.

What is "Cloud Activation"?

The Cloud activation method is a fast activation method, where you will receive an activation link from us via email.
You simply need to follow the instructions on screen after clicking on the link - the game will then be automatically activated on your Steam account.

Please note that we will not send you a digital activation code and that you will be required to enter your Steam account information in this process.
We will not save your personal data nor forward your personal data to a third party for advertising purposes. We strongly recommend that you active the Steam Guard Service to protect your account.
If you have concerns about this activation method, please consider checking our webshop - we offer most games as both cloud activation and as regular digital activation codes.

How does the Cloud Activation work?

The link you will receive will guide you through the activation method easily - first, you will be prompted to log into the Steam account that you wish to activate the game on.
After entering the information, you will be asked to enter your Steam Guard code sent to you via email by Steam (or the Steam app, depending on your personal settings).
Follow the further instructions and confirm the activation of the code.
The game will be activated on your account and you will be able to download the game in your Steam library afterwards.

Several reviews on trustpilot saying codes they have bought have already been used. I'd rather spend the extra few quid and buy from a trusted seller.

Wouldnt risk my main account on a 7 pound saving.
If they don't provide a key for you to put in the Steam client, it's a mugs game.

I don't think Hong Kong's finest e-shop are for me, thanks.

Please read this before placing an order. The risks are having your entire Steam account banned and thus losing all your games
Super super shady, I'd setup a new steam account if I did this.
When I brought this up before someone mentioned they used the Steam API to activate, but this can't be true as sites like Humble Bundle that used to be able to do this had to go back to giving out keys after Steam dropped support for OAuth almost 3 years ago.
I wouldn't touch it with a stick dude, buy from legitimate sellers.
Cloud activation is too risky, don't do it
This shouldn't be on this site, it's an idiotic risk and I fear for the less intelligent members.
I wouldn't buy this and I wouldn't recommend that anyone else buy it - by 'Cloud activation' they mean 'give us your username and password and we'll add the game to your account for you', which is fine if you want to trust them with that information - but what if they get hacked or a disgruntled employee decides to post your details somewhere? Also, giving out your details to third parties is against the Steam terms of service, and if you're going to break those you might as well buy a cheap Chinese key yourself and use a VPN to activate it - that way at least you haven't given your password out, even if you do change it afterwards.

But has anyone seen this that's also on the Gamesdeal site?
gamesdeal.com/50-…tml

It's the same price, and it looks as though you do actually get a key to activate yourself (going by the activation instructions and the fact that it doesn't say Cloud Activation) but it's a gamble - you've only got a 50% chance of actually getting PUBG, or you might get something else entirely, and it doesn't say what the other possibilities are so you might get something rubbish. But buy two copies at the same time and you're guaranteed a copy of PUBG plus one other random game.

I don't think I'll risk it personally, but if anyone else does or has tried it before please let us know what you got and whether it was worth it.
You’d be insane to risk your Steam account for few quid saving. Buy it on a new account you don’t mind losing or just pay the extra from CDkeys.
Cloud activation = cold
before I knew about the activation process I actually tried to buy this but paypal wouldn't let it happen because of fraud protection, I tried going through their customer support but got no where in 5 days, only then I found out about how dodgy the site is and at that point knew why paypal didn't work.

basically don't shop here, it's not safe

Good for you but that's not the point. No one is saying cloud activation doesn't work, only that it is risky.
Please remove from hotukdeals. We should only have deals from legitimate sellers here.
Change Steam password - > Buy game -> Activate -> Change Password.
And no issues
Just purchased this, no problems - apparently it's a bit of a glitchy game and isn't worth more than £13.
I've changed my password afterwards just in case. I've done steam cloud activation before on another site - I didn't realise it was so dodgy until reading these comments!
