Just an educated guess - the 40gb has been around for ages in Europe as the only machine, but US and Asia also have an 80gb version. They've also recently launched the dual shock controllers and have some excellent exclusive games at the mo

edit: and MS have just announced a 60gb 360 for the same money as the current 20gb:

When they do i'll finally convert over to PS3
