Just saw this in a promotional mag sent to me from Makro in there special offer section. Apparently from wednesday 7th november, they are selling the Ps3 60gb model for £249. Although you do have to add 17.5% tax on top,but still comes out at a very reasonable £292.75p. It doesnt say what you get, but probably standard ps3 pack. It also says only one per customer.
I know not everyone is a member of Makro, so please dont shoot me down in flames for this. I just thought it may be of use to someone wanting a Ps3 for christmas.

£299 at shopto.net for a 60gb ps3 if you dont have a makro card

Not an offer for everyone as not everyone can get into Makro let alone become a member.

Well worth posting, will check this out next time im in Makro cheers op

wow the temp shot to 19.6 from 17.0 when i voted it hot.

Makro in sheffield is where i go sometimes. good deal ill go check it out friday night.thanks

I know it sounds crazy but I think I'd go for the 40gig PS3 model for £279 instead! I dont have any PS2 games, I wont be using the mem card ports, and 20 gig is no big deal.

I'll be playing a lot of blu ray films in my living room and I've heard the 40 gig model is considerably less noisy and also a lot cheaper on eleccy!!

Maybe I am a fool, but Ive gone for the amazon offer with Pro Evo for 299 anyway!

Lol, the 60GB PS3 makes barely any noise at all so I doubt it would be considerably less noisy

Why do people feel the need to defend their purchase by getting others to buy the same? It's so tribal and juvenile.

Both are very quiet.
