Having checked, this seems to be safely the cheapest price available. Tesco Direct is closing down, but Tesco is obviously remaining as a going concern.

You might want to see if JL are selling it to see if they will price match.

  • Enhanced 7.1 virtual surround sound in all PS4 games.
  • 3D Audio mode that gives precision sound from every direction in compatible games.
  • Custom audio modes that let you experience games exactly as the developer intended.
  • Stylish foldable design with an enhanced battery life and 3.5mm jack for use with PlayStation VR and mobile devices.

Good price and voted hot but retail of £149.99?! Virtually everyone is selling these for £129.99 which I’m guessing is the current retail price. Amazon also have a habit of using much older retail prices when displaying offers which makes the consumer think they are saving more than they actually are!

Oh yeah, the £149 is such bull. Either way, given that the Days of Play deal for the gold headset has vanished, I'm seriously considering this deal, but I'll be asking JL to price match first.

I’m sorry
Just a heads up, John Lewis is price matching this deal. I had it confirmed via online chat.
Great price, I recently bought these for £115 from Amazon, they had been £129 for a while which seems to be the normal price. They're great headphones for this price, an upgrade on the Gold Headset which I've had a for a few years. I'm yet to try the 3D audio on Uncharted and Horizon but I've heard it's quite impressive. I have 7.1 setup at home so it'll be interesting to see how it compares.
Further update, John Lewis Southampton were total dicks about the NKU, despite collecting the headphones from their store, they told me they "could not price match Tesco direct" (I had two chat transcripts showing that they could). One call to customer services and the refund was processed.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Just in case anybody is on the fence about these. I've been using them since yesterday evening. The sound is amazing. I played God of War using the dedicated sound mode, and the results were truly impressive. I'm not sure how they are getting the range of audio out of these drivers, even at low volume.

I can use these headphones on my PC and phone using the dongle. Obviously it is a bit stupid to need the dongle for your phone, but I keep my phone in a bag, so that's no big deal.

The mic, based on my brief set up test sounded more than clear enough. I had to turn the mic volume down in the device setup.
