Worth pointing out that this is Sony's official version, not a generic piece of tat, and 10% cheaper than elsewhere.

I bought a 3rd part one from Numskull and it never worked. Doesn't even have USB C like they stated.

Always surprises me that so many use the usb on the console to charge from, I must be lazy because I want the controller charging where I play, I don’t want to have to walk over to the actual console to pick it up each time.

not sure why all the negative comments on here. I got one for my release day console and it's been a game changer. Can charge 2 controllers at once and always got a spare fullly charged for when my main runs out.

Good bit of kit, great price. Very useful and uses a separate power cable so don't need to leave the ps5 in power hungry powersave

Is this actually any good? I had the official PS4 one and the pins on the charger frayed from pushing the controller onto them.

No pushing involved, as there is no connector as such just the contact pads on the controller and some spring loaded pins on the dock that make contact. (edited)

Sold mine to Cex, personally found it less useful, having to plug it into a separate socket. Opted for a 3rd party USB one that I can just plug into the PS5 itself

Same. Have 2 controllers so I can play with oe and charge with the other. Had this use USB from the console I'd have been happy with it. Instead I bought a cheap alternative
