Standard price, been around this or cheaper for over a year...

I remember not so long ago people used to slate XBOX for having to pay a yearly subscription to use gold. What is the difference between that and this?

So what is the 5% discount code ?

Didn't give me one when I liked them, probably done it before ....

Maybe because Psn users get 6 games a month to play for free aslong as they have an active sub.

I tried to post this a while ago but it didn't allow me to do so.

Cheers for the link, worked for me - cheapest I could find it anywhere.

Is that 6 on the PS4 or 2 on each PS3 ,PS4 and PS Vita. As Xbox give you 2 each on 360 and XBOX ONE so no real compare unless you own a collection of Playstation consoles. I am asking as I am considering getting a PS4 but already pay 2 subscriptions on the XBOX (me and son) but the XBOX subscription is available for around £25 nowadays.

If it wasn't for PS Plus kicking Xbox Live up the **** MS would never have started offering games with their service. Xbox Live was rightfully slated because it was nothing more than Internet tax to play online. PS Plus is only required to play online with the PS4 remember, not on PS3 or Vita. It was originally a games only service on the PS3/Vita and an incredible one at that.

The biggest compliment MS paid Sony was copying PS Plus - and it still isn't as good. MS' 360 games are decent but you expect that considering how old the console is. Their Xbone offerings are awful though, and they only offer one new game (each "new" game stays on the service for two months) at a time on that console as opposed to Sony who offer two new games every month on the PS4, PS3 and Vita.

Xbox gamers should be glad Plus came along otherwise they'd still be stuck paying inflated Internet tax just to play online.

Regarding this deal though it isn't really that great. It's regularly available on eBay for £30 and I still remember when it was widely available for between £20-25. Unless your sub has run out there's no need to purchase this IMO. Better prices will come along.

This is now £30.87 with discount. So frustrating, literally bought it an hour ago because of this thread...

Edit - Just got in touch with them and within 10 minutes they refunded the difference. Cdkeys.com customer service is pretty awesome
Edited by: "lucifon" 2nd Feb 2015

I've literally just purchase it and got charged £32.96, as per the thread description, and it's still showing as £34.69 (without discount) at the minute.

I bought a PS+ sub for the "free" games on my PS3 and Vita. It is a pretty good idea but having to pay to play online on a PS4 is disgusting in principle, I reckon. Still bought one though because I'm a slave to the market.

There's no difference, except that Xbox Live is a much better service for online gaming than PSN.

CDKeys used to be banned for a while, now it seems to have been recently rescinded, so HUKD users have taken to posting everything on the site regardless of whether it's actually a good deal or not

I have already liked their page before but using the link in comment#1 it asks you to put an email address so you can use the same as your facebook one and you'll get the code that way.

Probably because when you try to to enter the online link on the first tab, it came up with a message saying is this a duplicate? even though the previous deal was expired. Well I got that message anyway so I had to change the link and placed the direct link in comment#1.

It must have been mentioned in an official HUKD post somewhere, but apparently it was for self-promotion (whatever that might be)...

Remember the xbox 360 games are permanent as opposed to rentals like the XB1 and PS+ games. Having played on both XBL and PSN, XBL is a better experience for online play for me.
PS+ used to have amazing rentals but now they're pretty meh (probably because PS+ is required for PS4 now so Sony know they don't have to try as hard to impress).

That rental excuse is poppycock. No one in their right mind will stop subscribing to either service if they want to play online anyway so whether you get to keep the games or not is a non argument. They are both digital services so both can revoke access at any time should they choose to, whether you "own" the game or not. Digital licenses can expire at any time, so MS have been clever with the "yours to keep" line knowing it means little in the grand scheme of things.

The PS4 is now starting to get full retail games (Injustice, Infamous) with their subs too whilst the Xbone offerings have been utterly **** in comparison. Both Live and PSN seem to be down as much as each other these days too, so neither is a stable service so it's a tie for online reliability as far as I'm concerned. When it comes to games PS Plus is light years ahead, especially if you've been subbing since 2012 or so and have all those PS3 and Vita games to play.

There are scenarios where people don't wish to have a continual subscription though (especially if there's a few dud months of rentals). Knowing that you can't play the rentals (including the single player/offline ones) while unsubscribed does make a difference.
I have zero loyalty to either company or service and I'm not saying the XB1 offerings are exactly amazing, I'm just not under any illusion that PS+ is as good as it used to be.
As for the reliability of both services, we could both bring up anecdotes all day long I guess, but all I'm saying is that in my experience I've had less issues with XBL.

Here you go: 18623J2RQR but I think it will only be valid for about 10-15minutes though.

Do you need to be a member of PlayStation Plus to download demos? Or is it that you just get them sooner if you're a member? Thanks
