An entirely new "Crash Bandicoot" for the PlayStation 3 (including some "Team Racing" elements) would be welcomed here too!

I wonder if Crash will make an appearance in "PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale".

Thanks fp

Cheers for the heads-up fanpages, I'll be surprised if I'm accepted as I've not played a whole lot of LBP, but it's worth a try!

You have to be "in it, to win it", as the saying goes.

Fingers crossed for you, buddy.

Thanks! Heat given.

Won't this be the same, but with different characters? And with a big possibility (my guess) of Crash Bandicoot characters available as DLC?

Signed up anyway, but I'd be surprised if this wasn't available to PS+ members at the earliest opportunity (in which case I will offer the code to someone on here, should I be successful)

"LittleBigPlanet Karting Beta Dates Announced – San Diego Game Jam Recap"

My fellow LittleBigPlanetians,

I’m happy to report to you all that the LittleBigPlanet Karting Beta will begin next Tuesday, July 10th. Those of you lucky enough to be selected will start receiving codes in the next couple of weeks, and we will be sending out vouchers to more people as the test continues through to Tuesday, July 31st.

In related news, we recently had a really amazing group of LBP creators join us for an entire week here at SCEA’s San Diego Studio where they were able to get their hands dirty experimenting with LBP Karting‘s Create tools. I think it’s safe to say that a good time was had by all, and the participants gave us invaluable feedback on some tweaks that will end up giving you all really great experience when LBP Karting hits store shelves later this year. The LBP franchise has always had a strong community element so it was great to have the people we’re making the game for in our studio face-to-face talking through their creative ideas and processes.

At the end of the day, this level of interaction helps us make a better game. Big shouts out go to Spider-Jew, JustinArt, LamboLover4898, ConfusedCartman, codibear8383, Crazy_s, and Taffey. We are truly grateful that you all could spend some time with us at our studio – thank you for your continued support.

We had an awesome ti-… You know what? I should let THEM tell you about it. Check out the link here to read about their impressions on creating in full 3D, some fascinating stories about mad cow disease, what it’s like to work with the team here at San Diego Studio, and something about a save fairy that sounds totally weird. Thanks again, hope to see you all online next week!

Just sayin'.

Many thanks fanpages...just had the email come through with acceptance for the beta trial.

Comes complete with a Beta Test Vest costume shortly after the game is released for redemption.

Thanks for the heads up on this - Received my confirmation email today.

Unsurprisingly, It's very similar to Modnation racers in terms of the actual racing. Little Big Planet meets Modnation Racers is the simplest way of describing it.

Already had the game crash on me whilst I attempted to leave a comment/feedback at the end of a race - Will do my bit and report this to San Diego Studio.

I personally find the controls tighter than Modnation...seems better...takes more from Mario Kart...only thing I can criticise at the moment is the weapon selection, the colour choice of the weapon collection confuses things, I think differing icons are necessary.

Controls although steering/braking/drifting etc feel spot on in my opinion, I do think that with using L1 for grappling hook on top of things its not as simplistic as Mario Kart and could put off casual players.

To me it takes the best of Mario Kart, combining the best of LBP and with custom levels with varying camera angles, top down, isometric 3D etc can lead to some very interesting level designs.

Yay I got in.
Downloading now.

It feels very average from what I've played so far. I didn't know about the grappling hook - Maybe that's why I continually fell way short of a jump on one of the tracks!
