PlayStation Pro for £299.99 that's £50 less than full price. Also after my order went through I got a 10% voucher code for my next purchase. I don't know how much you have to spend to get the voucher but I suppose if you buy something cheap first then get the code you could in theory knock off another £30

Is it a generic code or a unique one?

Since it's only been out since November last year I wouldn't say pre-owned matters all that much, at most it's had three months use, hardly disastrous. I'd say saving £50 for buying (barely) used is pretty decent....

Managed to get my new ps4 pro for £270 + a game by being smart.

The Ps4 pro has bad defect rate, quite a few returns. You'd need a warranty, buying 2nd hand is a big risk.

How did you get it?

And sources for the defect rate?

You wouldn't believe what some poeple can do in three months.

Yes, if you can catch a bargain you can get them cheaper, I got one for £255 without game from Amazon Warehouse back in November with the 20% off deal they had then. Just saying versus the standard pricing £299 for a used one seemed ok to me considering there doesn't seem to be much in the way of promotions on them right now.

As for the defects not heard about anything, only thing I saw was one very faked looking photo of a melted one. Wasn't aware there was many, will always be some at a new console launch...

Where's this "bad defect rate" data? Literally the first I've heard about it.

Very concerned to read about Foxconn pressuring students onto production lines with a deal with schools to withhold course credits if they refuse making graduation hard or impossible. Nasty stuff if true.

The article in the first link is 3 years old, it was for the original PS4.

The second link was an issue with the Pro on older 4K screens but not new 4K screens, LG already rolled out new firmware to solve it on theirs, also some was user error, not using the correct HDMI port or HDMI cable.

That's a good example though of what happens when a problem is actually widespread, it becomes widely reported, I've not heard of any other problems from the Pro except for some really noisy ones, not exactly hard to work out where that noise coming from though.

You should never be surprised by any failures though when it comes to electronics, build enough PC's and that's one of the biggest issues, components D.O.A
