Yep good prices, so which one is best?
It's not that great when you consider the Splinter Cell HD collection has been ~£12 for quite a while now.

they are all classic games mate, and at this price i personally find no reason not to buy all 3. Start with the first and make your way through the series.

digital copies dont come cheap, and its same price as hard copy with convenience of playing digitally...thought quite a few prefer that, thus posted the deal.

Plus the added benefit of choosing which game you want at cheap price, rather than buying the hard copy of all 3.
Splinter Cell (original) and Chaos Theory are both worth it.

Pandora Tomorrow was rubbish to be honest. Seemed like a bit of a half way house in terms of story line, gameplay and graphics.

The other two were BRILLIANT. I personally prefer them to the Metal Gear solid games by a long stretch.

Play the original Splinter Cell before Chaos Theory though, as Chaos Theory is better and you'll be disappointed otherwise!
Nice. These games were brilliant
How long are these on offer for?

Fantastic, thanks for your constructive input.

I think if you have to get one, buy Chaos Theory. Its the slickest of the lot. I'm just halfway through playing it and although I've enjoyed them all the first Splinter Cell is a poor conversion IMO. The sound jumps and the save system is still glitchy (even though it was supposed to be patched)!

Plus, (and this really gets on my jaffas) in the first Splinter Cell you have to put dead bodies down before opening a door, then you have to turn round and pick them up again!
This might seem like a small point but after doing it for the thousandth time you'll soon get peed off too.

(In Pandoras Tomorrow and Chaos Theory you can open doors with a dead body on your shoulder!)

Lastly, don't buy them thinking that the multiplayer is in them. It isnt ! :-(. Which is a terrible shame because the multiplayer in PT on xbox was amazing!

I was about to buy Chaos Theory but no multiplayer put me off. Thanks for that info.

hot though you get better deal yet in my opinion when you buy the combo pack for around £20 with the other add ons
Bought them on disc and playing the 1st one just now. Its aged well imo, still really enjoying it. Only problem is the shooting, can take about 5 shots to hit a lightbulb 3ft in front of you. I think they made it bad on purpose to dissuade you from just shooting everyone which is fine but it can be quite annoying, feel like I need to save the game everytime Im about to shoot out a light just in case I waste all my ammo.
Hot and cold deal to be fair, not voted either way.

Hot because you can choose which one you want and it's cheaper than buying the whole collection if you only want 1 or 2 of them.
Cold because you can have all 3 on disc and have the chance to trade in these (I'm guessing) offline-only games.

Oh yeah. I forgot about the lightbulb thing! Ha ha. It is terrible the way you cant shoot straight. PT and CT are much better for this (thank god!) :-)

whats the combo pack?

Also is there an extra discount for PS+ subscribers?

The combo pack is 5 Splinter Cell games, comprising of Splinter Cell HD Trilogy, Splinter Cell Essential and Splinter Cell Double Agent. Probably a bit overkill unless you're a Splinter Cell nutter.

It's £23.99 on ps store, or £19.19 for ps+ users.

thats kinda tempting for the sheer value but honestly i dont think i'll get round to playing the rest... Is there a discount on the HD trilogy by itself?
Nope it's £23.99 as a pack. I got them for the £3.99 each last time deal. I game share with my mate so only paid £2 per game.

no the hd trilogy itself doesnt have a discount.
I'll have a go at Chaos Theory, i too will never find time to go through the collection.

Thanks to the OP for posting, i wouldn't have seen it, and thanks to the genuine commentators for their input.

Heat added.
Let me know when Journey is this price.

considering its the best selling psn game so far of the year, i think £3.99 is a long way away for Journey.

Its a strange one, its a good game but they strayed to far from the formula from the first 3 games so depending on what way you look at it, it can be really crap or really good.

I haven't played the previous versions wholeheartedly, meaning i bought it and then played it for a moment then sold it/exchanged it

yeah but all old games are hard

I dont find them hard, but I do get in a bit of a annoying cycle of doing two or three mins and then quicksaving.
To be honest I think I'm prob a bit OCD when it comes to saving in games.
For instance, quicksaves are ok, but before I do a full save I have to go through all my weapons and reload each one in turn and make sure they're all 'topped up'. :-s
Also, I like to make sure that I'm facing the right way so that when I reload the game (maybe a week or so later) I'll know which way to head....
(sad I know but I cant help it).
They are not hard games if you play them correctly! Which is using stealth and not just trying to run through the game shooting everyone!.

but i have to do that

Thats scarily like me lol Im trying to stop the quick save thing though as sometimes if I get spotted or something I hit quick save instead of quick load and mess up my game quite annoying.

u killed it a long time ago pal
