PlayStation Vita 32GB Memory Card £54.99 at Amazon with Free Fifa 13

I know the deal for the free Fifa 13 has been posted already, but I noticed the 32GB memory card has now dropped to £54.99, which is the cheapest it has been on Amazon according to camelcamelcamel, and I figured it was finally time to bite! The extra storage will come in handy for all of the PS+ goodness.

I'm sure many people will complain about the extortionate prices but from the way I see it, I've more than made up the cost of my 32GB card with PS+ and that's when I bought it for £60 by itself, so at £55 with Fifa 13 this is pretty hot.

I totally agree, for what it is the price is ridiculous, however it is a necessary evil and Sony do make up for it in other ways.

Just noticed there are only 14 left in stock according to the site, so get in there quickly!
Couldn't justify the cost of this before, but PS+ changed my mind and I picked one up last week. You can also back up the PS+ games onto your computer, but at least you won't need to as much with 32GB. Hot.
just want to post this deal last night... I also think it's a good deal
You can probably sell the fifa 13 code for about £10 on ebay
Like others, I also hated the idea of paying so much for storage, but PS+ is godlike.
I thought some months ago Sony announced it was going to be slashing the prices of their Vita cards ?
I easily filled a 32gb a month ago, got the vita in January, hope they lower the prices and make bigger sizes.
Still a little too high for me, but I'll admit that this is the best deal I've seen for 32GB Vita cards so far. Hot deal, but if you have fibre optic broadband its painless enough to juggle content on a 16GB card (imo anyway).
Ordered, will probably sell the Fifa 13 code for a tenner or so. Already have Fifa Football and according to many reviews and buyers they are the exact same game with kit and transfer updates so not really worth keeping. Hotted
When I filled my 16gb card I wish I bought a 32gb card then rather than another 16gb.

Unfortunately it's not as simple as swapping a memory card like the PSP days. The system has to be turned off, insert the new card and then a wait while the database rebuilds. Then there's your icons mixing up between the 2 cards but this seems a lot better since the last update where folder storage on the vita was added.

I got my FIFA code last week and its just under 3Gb in size for those wondering. I found it quicker to download on the PS3 then use content manager to transfer it over to the vita with the USB lead. For some reason when downloading it on the vita it kept pausing whenever going into standby mode (and not physically putting it in standby mode,I mean me just letting it time out).

Excellent price and heat added. Half tempted to get this, back up my other cards and and sell them.
I'm not going to vote cold but be aware that the PS Vita is as good as dead. If you don't have one already it is almost certainly not worth a purchase.

I have had PS+ from before it launched Vita games so if I ever buy one i'll have a few games to play, but it would need to hit £80 or something at this stage to make it worth it.
Just the ticket, thank you. My 8GB card can't hack the pace of PSN+ anymore
Where does it say FIFA 13 included I can't seem to find that

the big box below the price, that says special offer

funny thing is, when I clicked the link again it was gone. sometimes it has a lovefilm advert in it. needed to refresh the page a few times to get it back.

FIFA 13 is only worth it if you get it for free anyway. It's the same game as FIFA Football with a few new kits and updated transfers, and that's it. I feel sorry for anyone who actually paid for it.

They couldn't even be bothered to make sure it works properly. There's a trophy for going 5 games unbeaten online - what they don't tell you is that only completed games count - so if you're winning 4-1 in the 89th minute and your opponent quits, no trophy for you. That would have been an easy fix had they put any work into the game, but they didn't, so this is what we ended up with.

That is not true.

It doesn't have a huge amount of games out for it but there are huge hints things will be revealed at E3, and then you have the confirmed PS4 gameplay functionality. It is selling better than it was in all territories and as is obvious, more sales = bigger userbase = more games.

If it was "as good as dead" as you say, production would have been stopped by now.

Sorry PaulLFC but its dead. It doesn't matter what they reveal. Check out Sonys latest financial figures.

It may survive in Japan but it will be lucky to see out the year in the West and 3rd party support as well as support from Sonys best studios wont be happening.

utter **** !!!
Sony's last handheld.
Even if you count the game, which costs about £20-25 retail, £30 for a 32gig is ridiculous. Then again anybody who bought a PS Vita got ripped off anyway. Just wait till Sony ditches support for it within a year like they did with the PSP.
Portable game consoles are redundant now that mobile phones are quickly catching up, with greater support and much cheaper games...not to mention it eliniates the need to carry a bulky console around.
Also why would you buy a portable games console for the same price as an Xbox 360 or PS3 anyway?? How often to you feel the need to be antisocial and play in public/on the move?
Damn, paid £60 last week from Amazon

... Its never dropped below £59.99 before
I think the Vita has more life in it than people give it credit for. Just curious, but do the doom-sayers own a Vita? It's actually a really neat bit of kit and looks like it could see a boost from deeper integration with PS4. Of course, a bigger official price cut would help the system immensely, but with PS+ supporting it and the promises being made (assuming half of them are kept), I think it could have quite a bit of life still in it.
I'm not going to keep arguing about this as its a bargain site, not a games site. I do expect there will be a firesale soon though so I would hold on to my money.

Tripe, there's still games coming out on the 8 year old PSP. The original DS was a massive success and is still popular. The 3DS is slowly building a substantial userbase. Anyone who spouts the "Mobiles are as good as handheld consoles" line is either a troll or doesn't realy like gaming that much. Touchscreens are garbage for the majority of games. Simple, ancient games like Tetris, Space Invaders and Mario or Sonic are totally unplayable on them. Then there's tilt to steer games which are even worse. Mobile games are cheap because they lack depth and are cheap to make.

I've had a 360 for years but play my vita more now. I've played it on trains, planes, when I'm away from home for work or on holiday but most often when the Mrs is watching some drivel on TV
Nice deal and sure tempted me but I won't pay that much for a memory card, it's just too expensive! I have all my ps plus games backed up MacBook and just transfer the one I'm currently playing to vita, tend to only focus on one or 2 games at a time anyway then transfer a new one
The vita stock shelves in the shops is tiny! Hardly anything there available which makes it look like its as good as dead, the psp wasn't successful either, they say it'll be good with the ps4 so you have spend hundreds of pounds on that just to make the vita more worthwhile? And then you can't even resell the games cos they're locked to your personal ps4.it all sounds daft if its true.
gutted i just spend £40 on a 16gb the other week hot
The PSP wasn't successful? It sold over 76 million.

It is not dead! Exactly what people who don't have one think! The community is strong and more and more games are being announced!

I'm sure you were saying the same thing about 3DS. Vita is not dead. Plus is a bargain for it. I think if they put together a £150 Vita with 32GB card and 3 months plus bundle people would snap it up if they could translate the value properly through advertising.
its not dead if u dont have a ps vita get one its well made good software and got loads of games on the ps store including all the ps one games u could want

if u dont like it dont comment on it
i'm 39 and grown up with consoles......i love the vita and don't have time to play on any other console now - so it's the only way i can play decent games on the move
Great Deal if I didn't have a 16gb card I would get this right away. 16gb is plenty to store the 5-6 games you are currently playing and use your pc or ps3 to hold the games you don't want to play eight now. But 16gb cats are not much cheaper and don't come with a free game.

Also I own all consoles and handhelds and play my vita the most. It's a great machine with plenty of brilliant games and with ps+ it is also amazing value. Gamespot did a feature about the vita where in a survey owners are more satisfied with their purchaser and played with it for longer than any other console.

So you still think they'll block pre-owned games on the PS4 even though they've said in interviews that they won't? This shows that you clearly don't know what you're talking about and in what way exactly was the PSP not successful?

Guess all those calling on the Vita's doom havn't considered that it is selling like hot cakes in Japan after a price drop which will happen here soon

That's pretty much because Marvellous AQL just released Soul Sacrifice in addition to Persona 4 Golden where as prior to that the exclusive line up for the Vita was predominately Western.

Oddly one game can pretty much make or break a platform in that country and as soon as the Vita gets a Monster Hunter, it will probably become the console of choice over there.

What evidence do you have for that? Zero. Production is still continuing, therefore it isn't dead. Simple as that really.

Edit: Saying "it doesn't matter what they reveal" and completely discounting E3 is just silly anyway. If they announce a price cut and some decent bundles along with some new high-profile games then nobody knows how sales could go.
