Yes, sorry, Tesco worded it as "back in stock" in their email but it is a pre-order on the website. Pretty much standard affair for these things at the moment it seems!

Have any HUKDers got this? If so, would you recommend?
- I had all the move setup and sharpshooter on the PS3, but never used it... will this be the same?

I demoed it a couple of weeks ago and went from "Meh" to pre-order in the space of about 5 minutes.

I was looking forward to the vr but as it uses wires I think il wait until it's wireless but regardless of the added

You demoed it? Surely you already knew a lot about it to demo it.

it's been in and out of stock half a dozen times in the past week. also the back in stock date has been all over the place.

Sharpshooter is not supported. They will be bringing out new gun in new year, however good you have move controllers, they are a must, that will save you £69. I've tried it at a friends and I'm hooked.

Yeah plenty have it. Here's a PS VR thread if you're interested in having a discussion about it, talking about the games, or if you have question you'd like to ask someone that has it and stuff

Wireless VR will be heavy and only be able to run crappy mobile games. You're always gonna get a better experience running VR from a games console or computer.

Really? This is the 1st time I've had a stock alert from them in the past week...

Same price @Amazon( not in stock) but strangely it doesn't show NUS discount( I have it).

Mines currently sat in its box unopened and unused... the time I get round to using it, it could be half its value

yep, really. I managed to order one @ 7pm last Thursday, just before I actually recieved a stock alert email. having just missed out on the deal when it went to £330 originally. I've been watching it a few times daily and it's been in/out for preorder since then. however it's been unavailable for the past 2 days until now. I'm just glad I managed to get one with staff 20% discount. I just wish I knew when tesco actually hope to fulfill all these new orders that they keep opening and closing. So if you need it for Xmas I wouldn't rely on the quoted date too much.

Yeah it is weird. They shouldn't really list them for order at all unless they have physical units in stock IMO...just annoys people who want to order otherwise. I have mine pre-ordered with Amazon for delivery on the 14th (but have to wait until Christmas to play it, I promised the wife).

I think you're misunderstanding 'wireless' here, is your controller heavy and does it only play crappy mobile games?

That's completely different as wireless VR is essentially a wireless monitor.

Yeah the Wii U model is the way to do it, but it seems to transfer at 50 Mbps or so while if Sony are using HDMI to its full potential they are transferring up to 10 Gbps/18 Gbps (HDMI 2.0) to the PSVR, so it will be a while until we have wireless that can support that. I hope we do get there though.

Word of warning - what you see in VR will be NO WHERE NEAR AS GOOD as youtube clips etc.

Don't get me wrong - it's a fantastic experience and immersion is amazing, but graphics are very poor compared to all the advertising clips.

Many talk of blur etc. There's a lot of blur and Driveclub is the worst for this.

It is bad.

But as I said, immersion abd VR experience is amazing.

Best price at the moment so heat for that.

I tried it out and ws amazed. Played for about an hour. no issues with wires or headset. It was really light and comfortable.

I loved it but unwilling to fork out such a large amount because of blurring.

It would seem from various forums some do not see/aren't bothered by blur.

Just wanted to give a heads up.

Good luck

There's a stack of them at cex so quite a few don't like it,I guess it'll depend on the individual.

I'm not down with the yoofs, what is this 'Take the L'?
If you mean 'admit defeat' then no I will not as the poster implied that the VR headset would have to be heavy and only play mobile games (I assume he thought it would be portable) which is not what was meant by 'wireless' at all. A wireless VR headset would be more akin to a Wii U controller or Vita using remote play.
Happy to help you understand. X)

We're still some way off that tech but it's certainly what was meant by wireless. But then the graphical computing power, screen quality and battery tech should be much better too and tbh they are bigger dealbreakers for me than cables.

The blurring of distant objects is down to gpu, Sony stated the VR performed poorly on the standard PS4, the Pro was announced when they said this, so i would assume the Pro improves or removes the blur

I hope the Pro does improves things but I'm not convinced; with current games for PS4, the Pro will only improve things if the game developers code in a specific Pro patch etc.

Many are suggesting this will be the same for VR. Sony aren't saying much.

I truely hope/wish the Pro does improve things - but that'll mean another £332 outlay! !

In just over a week we should know. .....

can't see any exceptionality in price.

I wouldn't count on it improving it, I've not tried the PSVR yet but I have a Vive with a 1060 (more powerful than PS Pro) and it suffers from something similar to what you guys describe. In that case I suspect it's mainly down to resolution. Stuff in the distance has gotta be only a few pixels wide right?

Aside from the fact it's £17.50 under RRP you mean?

Anybody know if the 12/12 date is a placeholder date or are they really not expecting stock for over 5 weeks?
