Dead like 3D TVs

Worst. Game. Ever.

I know, right? I must have skipped the character creator and now I'm stuck with this monstrosity... Waiting for the DLC.
If you haven't boarded the VR train yet just do it you won't regret it. Wipeout Omega would be my choice of game as it's simply jaw dropping to play. Visuals, music, tight gameplay and plenty of content. I've spent way to long in the headset playing this! Excellent value

My choice would be RE7 or Farpoint with VR AIM controller.

Resi is superb also but had trouble stomaching the jump scares. It you thought the likes of don't knock twice or recent PS plus Here they lie were bad this ramps it up to pant wetting levels

VR1 or VR2?
Version 2 I would suspect now as standard
Yeah likely to be V2, also they are showing that in the individual images too.

I think these are just stores that forgot to put their prices back up. A couple weeks back it seemed there was a blanket sale price of £199 but then on Friday last week they all went back up in price. Except it seems for Zavvi and Monster-Shop I ordered mine from MS with WipEout, it was delivered on the Saturday and included a bonus copy of RE7:Gold too.

It's such an upgrade from my V1 tbh, less wires and less weight pulling on your head as well. Great revision and cable management this time around.

Not dead and nothing like 3D TV. 3D TV was a complete finished tech, VR is in it's infancy and has a long way to go before it reaches a mass market finished product. The future for VR is very bright.

Holding out for black friday
good price but still £200.00. I've played several games on it and they are worth the experience but cant justify £200 for something that probably wont be compatible with ps5.
Ha ha zavvi best of luck

Why wouldn't it, if anything surely a more powerful console would make it run even better

I can't see a PS5 console until 2020 earliest, surely they wouldn't dick over PS4 Pro owners so early on.
I went VR mad bought the lot aim, sticks played it for around a month and then didn't really touch it. It's AMAZING the first time but once you've done it, you've done it. Just ended up making me hot and sweaty and feeling a little sickly, which eventually outweighs the experience in my opinion.

Would like to try it but think I'd get bored. £200 too much to pay for something I wouldn't use all the time.

why make it compatible when you can make a new version and charge customers for that.

I bought a PS4, PSVR and Wipeout all in one day just to experience Wipeout....I have never felt so ill in my life, various people on various forums pointed out that I should start slow with VR and play games in which you remain static in order to get the feel of VR, doing loop the loops at 250mph is not the best way to start your VR experience. I returned the lot the following day, it was like the worlds worst/best waltzer ride.

It can be a bit like that, it's a shame it had that effect on you fella and you had to return it. From my own experience I started with the demo discs 1 and 2 and PSVR worlds (gentle movement demos after what I'd heard about motion sickness. There was a game called Scavengers Odyssey which is the only game so far that has had me feeling a dizzy. Wipeout was tailored to reduce the in cockpit movement (although all settings can be changed in game). It seems to be that if you can see a cockpit/car interior etc. around you and there is not as much head turning for field of view then the motion sickness is reduced. It's definitely about acclimatisation, but I'm so glad I persevered.

So you ignored everyone's advice and just returned it?

Basically yes. I only bought it to experience Wipeout. I own a Samsung GearVR headset so i thought id be ok with motion sickness but it was horrible and each of the suggested games would cost another £20 and most of them are nothing but glorified demos i took it all back.

To clarify i got it all second hand so was able to sell it got the same price.

I also had Skyrim which was good except id already done about 100 hour on xbox.

Great product this is a good deal i was just sharing my experience...especially regarding noobs playing Wipeout.

V1 PSVR is compatible with the launch PS4, the Slim PS4 and the PS4 Pro.
V2 PSVR is compatible with the launch PS4, the Slim PS4 and the PS4 Pro.

Current PSVR headsets will be PS5 compatible IMO, although I suspect by then, the PS5 iteration of PSVR will be considerably better (probably inside out tracking), that you'd want to get it anyway.
Orders are getting cancelled. Just had mine cancelled with no explanation. Offer expired
