New to PS4 world. Is this a good deal?

PSVR is amazing. Honestly. I bought mine on launch thinking I'd just sell it if it was rubbish as they were going for money 2nd hand... But I was blown away from the getgo.
What I would say is, do not buy someone else's old one. Firstly, there will be a lot more V1 for sale than v2. V1 is terrible. The wiring is poor quality and mine died quite quickly. Replaced it with this version, used it a thousand times more and its still going fine. Also, you haven't got to worry about how Ill treated it has been if you buy new... Nor do you have to worry about other people's eye or head gunk!
This is a good deal. Do it. Get firewall and the Aim, and don't look back

To get a better experience youll want the move controllers, these are current 85 quid on Amazon... and alot of other places are sold out.

So honestly, id buy a 2nd hand one with the move controllers. Alot of people impylse buy these, dont use them for a couple of months and sell them on.
Out of curiosity can anyone remember how expensive the move controllers were before VR ?

I suspect they have increased dramatically in price.

The V1 ones were going for as low as a tenner during the PS3 days. I kinda wish I didn't know how cheap they used to be :).

They're currently £60 on Argos, though they weren't in stock at the London postcodes I checked.

They've been sold out a while and I think Amazon bumped them up knowing theyd drop the price of the vr unit and the fact theres a shortage of them

more annoying is the v2 units dont work with the ps3... but the v1s do... thanks Sony.

What annoys me even more than that is Sony not doing anything with the Navi controller - you'd think it'd be possible for them to meld the Move and Navi controllers into one for VR. Imagine how much better games like Skyrim could've been!
I’d love to try VR but I get motion sickness from half life 2 these days so I can’t imagine what these would be like

Yeap, as usual Sony don't bother, so we are left with 10 year old tech that did not work when it came out for the ps3, i have two but i never use them because after you have tried the Rift CV1 motion vr controllers it becomes quite apparent at just how bad these are in vr games, the hmd itself works perfectly, i give them kudos for that, i am enjoying Skyrim vr of late and it is phenomenal, but with a joypad relaxing on the couch, but those move controllers are just horrible at every level, try using a bow and see how the ps4 camera goes mental, and looks like you are trying to fire a bow from a bike that lost a wheel going down a steep cobblestone road......while someone shakes you. Lol

But overal the psvr is great, and even though it has the lowest res per eye out of all the present vr hmds, those cracking sharp lens and that vibrant oled screen really do make up for that....cracking hmd for this money.

Sounds amazing but still don't know how I'd cope playing on the VR!

Do you have, or have you ever suffered form any kind of travel or motion sickness, usually if not then you will be fine in vr.

Same, but would really like to try PSVR! Strangely Half Life 1 was fine for me, but Half Life 2, I got motion sickness. I think it was due to certain levels where you are in a confined space, like running through a narrow corridor for example. Anyone had HL2 motion sickness and got on fine with PSVR?

I had it in basket all day. Decided to check out just before midnight and I think it was 11.24pm when the price went up
So is 16 the minimum on these?
I was thinking of getting one my 9 year old (we're absolutely clueless what to get him) for Christmas.
He does suffer travel sickness though.
He loves Ark and wants the VR version.
Plus I love the look of Ace Combat and Wipeout. I have sea legs, but don't game often -novelty stuff or coop to spend time with my lad.
Worth it, black Friday it or nah?

I think you have to be realistic about it. It's the first VR headset , it has its drawbacks like resolution and poor controllers but there is a lot of fun to be had with the likes of Beat Saber, Firewall Zero Hour and No Mans Sky is coming soon. I use mine occasionally but it doesn't replace my 4K tv

i gotta be honest i LOVE mine but i bought mine second hand and with the move controllers for 220, it was 100% worth it... not sure id have been happy to mine the 300+ for the kit i got though
Superhot VR is probably the best game ive played in ages
Had 2 and sold them, v1 and v2. Good fun for a while, will blow you away week one and seriously impress friends and family but the games are nothing more than tech demos. Re7 is mind blowing in VR, but I barely remeber anything else.
Buy one used, play a few games then sell it on for what you paid.

I bought 1 set of my move and navigation controllers on clearance from Blockbusters for under £5 each, and think I paid a whopping £10 for a bundle with the necessary PS3 camera!
amazed to see that VR prices have dropped down to below 200 recently

My 7 and 10 year old love playing on ours, particularly job simulator. the only problem is they are shorter so you have to calibrate it carefully.

Job simulator? Lmao.
I'll have to check that out.

What ya mean short? Like there's some sort of height setting? I simply presumed it wouldn't matter. Again, something to check out, I s'pose.
Only 1 left.....!
