Good to see a price drop. I recently bought a 'Like New' in the Amazon Warehouse sale. Initially I was blown away with the whole immersion element as you really do feel like you're somewhere else. I tried a few games - FarPoint (with the gun), VR Worlds (more of a VR experience showcaser), Resident Evil, Eagle Flight. All good but it didn't take me long before the novelty wore off and the effort to don the headset and immerse myself again became too much of an effort. Once the novelty wears off you begin to notice the low-res graphics, plus there's a limited number of games that are available that are worth buying. The graphics in Res Evil are pretty rubbish to be honest, although the scare factor when you've got a zombie in your face almost makes up for it. I'm sending mine back though as I don't think I'll play it much. It does have potential and if they start to release some good games that you can play for a few hours then I'll jump back in but for now the PSVR experience is fairly limited (in my opinion).
Great timing, Wipeout VR free update is out today.

How to vote a discussion “Hot” ?

A £40 price drop is fantastic, but we've seen lower. In terms of the new RRP - it's a brilliant new baseline for the competitive prices we'll now see

Great to see. The more these things sell the more support we’ll see. I think it’s already sold well past Sony’s expectations. Just a shame all the support is coming from indies and 3rd parties. Would be nice to see Sony release more big stuff for it

Isn't it £90 price drop? I thought the old RRP was £349. You don't even know how good your deal is!

It took a price cut last August(ish). The Starter pack (this one) took a price drop to £299. The next pack up (Doom/Skyrim etc) took a drop to £349.99.

IIRC

I wonder with this price drop and the lower PS4 Pro stock if sony aren't about to introduce something soon... New Pro bundles? A Pro/VR bundle? Maybe an updated Pro Slim model?
Does cex ever drop their prices to match the market? Got £180 in credit I wanna use.
Is this for v1 or v2?

I can’t imagine there are many v1s still floating about. Should b v2 (or really v1.1)
Been cheaper than this before and will be cheaper again

Ha ha well you need to try these things. I think with the tilting of the cockpit you might be surprised how calm everything (well mainly your stomach) is.
I've yet to try it though so that could all be rubbish.

Of all the games I've tried, Skyrim with dualshock was the worst because you move in directions your mind isn't expecting, it is fine with the Moves but DS4 is a no no.
Bought in November. Only managed to play Rush of Blood and Battle Zone. But absolutely amazing. Fortunately I experience no dizziness or nausea. Just needed new pants after Rush of Blood.

you remember wrong I bought one 2 months back and the RRP on the starter pack at that time was £349, I searched for ages at the time for a deal that wasn't forth coming and finally gave in and used a 10% off next customers at Very . Don't regret it though as it still get used and still gets the 'wow' factor every time I put it on.
Think I might bite at Christmas time still a bit much at the moment for the mixed reviews

Firstly, they advertised it as v2 and it was v1, so they said that I can send it back on those grounds. Secondly, the condition wasn't 'Like New' as the box was ripped in several places. Thirdly, their policy states that you can return used items as long as they show no additional signs of use or damage. I've used it for about an hour and I'll be returning it back in an even better condition as the lenses had grease on them.

"Please note that you must return each item in the same condition in which you received it. This means that new items must be returned new, unused and complete. Used items must not have any additional signs of use or damage.
I'd really like it if a similar drop was applied to the PS4 Pro but I expect that'll happen just after I buy one, like the PSVR

Looks like a V1 headset. This imminent price drop seems to be for the newer V2 headset.

Not necessarily, I bought one a month ago from Tesco and it was a v1, had to return it and buy from Game to ensure a v2, so just a heads up, there ARE still v1 packs out there even with VR Worlds.

Like Rick and Morty?
Psvr is great, I bought last November for £249 from John Lewis, for the 2 year warranty. I only wish I had the time to use it more.

This is what I'm beginning to think, I'm guessing something's going on - PS4 Pro and standard PS4 stock seems a little too low everywhere at the moment. Fingers crossed for a Slim Pro!

No, they don't, they usually drop prices depending on how much stock they have.
Cheapest v2 has ever been.

Lovely base price drop.

The VR Worlds bundle is version 2.

I got a Good condition used Starter Bundle with VR worlds from Amazon that was posted a few weeks ago and got a V1 manufactured in July 2017 so there are V1 with VR Worlds out there.

I sent mine back an gave them a gob full because they were linked from a V2 link.
Got this on the recent 20% off amazon warehouse deal but it turned out to be version 1 so sent it back unopened. Looks like that was a good move if this is version 2 stock. Wish suppliers would be clearer what version they are selling at the time of order, amazon even had my one as version 2 in the description.

Not exactly true. The VR Worlds bundle was also for V1 but since they stopped production of the V1 headset in October and dropped the price to £199 during Black Friday so you would have to be a little unlucky to receive a V1 these days.

This is a decent price for VR. I can see these going to £199 during Black Friday this year. Love the PSVR plenty of games.
