The V2 model was only realised in the UK on 4th Dec. The Black Friday deal was to get rid of V1 stock in preparation for V2 release.

Absolutely amazing. Played Rush of Blood last weekend and couldn't believe how fantastic it was.

The resolution isn't amazing (1080 x 960 per eye), but the sense of immersion is very impressive. With regards to price, just think of PS VR as an alternative to a telly (plus you get the camera, two games and the NowTV pass).

Same price in Argos. Do I whack it on the card?

Family friendly?

On Twitter some stores were offering the move controllers for £50 with this bundle, however they are oos at stores and online.

Will these work in a small bedroom i.e can you sit at a desk with the camera 2 foot in front of you of do you need to be further away?

Need to be about 1.5m away. A few games I played doesnt need lots of space next to you but a few do if the camera cant follow your hands left/right.

Anyone experienced V1 and V2 and can tell the difference?

Just a hdr enabled pass on processing unit. Rather than swapping the cables. An inbuilt headphones on headset. Nothing major. Just small differences.

Main difference is the 4K HDR pass through with the newer version, which means you don't have to swap HDMI wires around.

I got mine through very 2weeks ago. Been very impressed with it. Resolution bit grainy at times but love it 👌

Remember you don’t have to sit in front of a TV. You can place the camera anywhere that gives you the most room. The cable isn’t that long but you can buy extenders so you can have it the other side of the room to the PlayStation itself

Traded my version 1 for the updated model..some.changes are for the better, volume control, button to move the visior, more padded headrest for the back of the head.hdr pass throught..now I don't need to keep changing cables round..tho game staff typically said it's 349 2days ago when I went to upgrade ,told him to scan skyrim throught and it reduced the price.so at some point it will go back go to 349..

Just announced they will be selling these in the US for $200

Bundle doesn't include motion controllers. I've been looking for some but not much stock about.

Slightly different bundles. Will they do the same in the UK though? We know how $ priced items always cheaper than £ prices items

How do we know the V2 is in the box? Does it state in the box HDR pass through or something? I'm thinking of taking my V1 back to Argos faulty to exchange it.

Above the HDMI logo, on the outside back of the box in tiny prints it says the model number which is CUH-ZVR2

The box on the back will have CUH-ZVR2 on it, just above the HDMI logo.

Can you explain what you mean by swapping cables on the v1?

I might be wrong, but I don’t think it is advisable for under 12’s to use. I think it’s becaus of the hightened risk of asthenopia.

If your tv supports HDR then you need to unplug the PS VR/switch HDMI cables to use the HDR.

If you don't have a PS4 Pro, or an HDR tv, this only has small cosmetic changes.

A £5 HDMI switch also does the job.

Please link a HDMI switch for £5 that allows HDR, because I struggled to find one for <£30.

Doesn’t matter now, picked up a V2 yesterday from Smyths, but the cable swapping with the V1 was a huge pain.

Not going to lie, I had to Google asthenopia.

Thanks for the help

Have you read the reviews for that? Seems it doesn’t play nice with HDR.

Just went to my local kebab shop and got offered a free now tv entertainment bundle with a chicken/doner mix
