Good deal on batteries if you really need to buy the throwaway type. Please recycle them after use if you buy them. Batteries do horrific things in landfill.

Packaging May Vary, you might get 100 foot of brown paper or a hundred carboard boxes that unwrap like a Russian doll but please PLEASE RECYCLE AFTER USE, the least green company ever

Bought 40 AA and 20 AAA from Maplin for £4.50 the other day. Might be worth checking there before they go.
40 Alkaline AA's from CPC for £6.95
cpc.farnell.com/pro…rch

Probably not much difference between them, most alkaline AA's differ very little between the best and worst.

I could never understand landfill. Lakes and rivers are the the obvious things to fill, unless you live on the coast (obviously).

They've been doing that in Indonesia, Nigeria, Bangladesh, etc. for years. That's where the plastic, etc. gets into the oceans. We're just the fall guys with a plastic bag tax.
"PLEASE RECYCLE AFTER USE."

How about 'please buy rechargeables' instead!

Because they are poor countries with no system where its not illegal whereas we are developed country with a system and do illegal dumping in other countries as well as our own.
Elderly Couple An elderly couple go to church one Sunday. Halfway through the service, the wife leans over and whispers in her husbands ear, "I've just let out a silent fart. What do you think I should do?" The husband replies, "Put a new battery in your hearing aid."

Police came round yesterday telling us to watch out
They say there is a battery thief working around the area
They said we have 1 positive lead and 1 negative

Rechargeable are not suitable for every application (clocks, remotes, extreme temps and things that don't like the lower voltage of rechargeables), but yes for most I agree.
