I've been with Plusnet for about six years and only moving away from the as Vodafone Broadband's far cheaper with a £100 gift voucher. They were pleasant with me when I informed them about disconnecting and apologised when they couldn't match Vodafone's deal. They haven't attempted to keep me with them for 'years and years' - I simply was with them for 'years and years' as they gave me the best deal and their customer service with me was always good. Completely the opposite from your diatribe.

Great deal for us who don't have fibre
Cheap as chips. Shame plusnet screwed up my switch from sky - I had no broadband for 6 days and gave up! I'm going to go the 4g route instead
My dad has adsl plusnet but is regularly paying more than £35 per month now. What should it cost him per month?
Plus net service is poor

Bad experience with plusnet for me too. Still waiting for a refund from them yet disconnected over 2 months ago now.
Avoid..
Based on my experience with them, their customer service is the best i have had but the internet speeds they offer are poor.
Shouldn't the total be £122.88 after cashback

You need to ring them and get on their case. I've never spent that a month and been with them for years on ADSL. No more than £20 inc line rental. Some fibre deal at £24.

I was with Plusnet on last years equivalent cheap deal and it was fine for basic broadband. I noticed about 3 weeks after installation my speeds fell from 6Mbps to around 4.8Mbps average. Over the year had two major outages up to 24 hrs. They also messed up my final bill. Plusnet were unable to offer me a better deal than £19.95 to renew!! Am now with Onestream which so far have been excellent- significantly faster average speed (7Mbps- which fell from an initial 8 Mbps) and a lot cheaper than Plusnets renewal offer! In reality Broadband of this sort of speed should never cost more than £10 month anyway!! Heat added as its a good deal for those requiring basic broadband or unable to get fibre. Plusnet need to offer much better renewal deals to keep existing customers but seem only to be interested in new customers! Broadband renewal is identical to Utility renewal these days- change provider ever year. Reasonable or sensible pricing seems to be precluded from the profit making ethos!!
Plusnet are poor. Constant problems, engineers called out for no reason, I left in cooling off period, still waiting for a refund even though I have lots of tickets and emails stating it will be paid back.

I have to call them back again today to chase.

Diatribe. Wtf
Good for you and keep moving with your cheap story
Price needs to be changed as cashback is not allowed to be included in the total. Price is £227.88 before cashback.
I have been thinking of going to Plusnet in the next week as my Sky deal is up in Sept and Sky jsut keep putting the price up, plus they then raise the bill during the term of the contract.

According to reviews I have read Plusnet is considered the best now - I read that it is BT much as in the way that giff gaff is supposed to be O2.
I moved to them a few months ago. No issues with the broadband, but had issues with my bills. They didn’t charge me for a few months and then hit me with a bill for about 4 months in one go at full price rather than the discount price I signed up for. They eventually sorted it, but looking at the forums they have had issues with their billing affecting a number of customers
Just attempted to switch my mobile to them. After 2 weeks of shambolic incompetence I gave up and went elsewhere.

They might be friendly and Yorkshirey.. but they're a waste of space technically.

They won't do you proud.
Avoid.
Best thing to do if you have any issues with Plusnet, is go onto their Community Forum and post your issues on there as they have staff hovering around them forums all the time

Always sorted any queries out for me instead of going on Chat or Opening a Ticket
I cannot understand all the complaints about Plusnet. I have been with them for about 11 years virtually without a problem. Customer service is great. I would recommend them.

Every provider gets bad complaints of course, always going to get few issues vs millions happy customers so wouldn't let comments throw people off. I'm year in with fibre extra with 0 issues as well and I track the speed using samknows and its never went below 54 and averages 70+

This deal is perfect for elders/parents who prob don't game and just need it for browsing/streaming/skyq etc
Try to renew with them and they won't give you a deal better than new customers, in fact a renewal deal is worse. Service has been a bit meh last few months, lots of cut outs. Deal ends in October and I'm off.
Best customer service I've had. Ultimately, most of the country runs off of OpenReach's infrastructure - so it is more about speed limits (or lack of) and customer service.

The ability to pick up the phone and speak to someone in the UK within 5 minutes makes a huge difference.

Zen Internet are the best. They charge £28 a month for adsl and phone line. In my opinion money well spent. Plus net gave me speeds of 10mbs and disconnects, Zen give me 15-16mbs no issues.

Thanks. That Zen seems very expensive - more than my Sky.

Yes, good service, good speeds, no dropped connections. Which? Best provider.

I finaly spoke to them yesterday, they said they would do the adsl for £25 or upgrade to fibre for £27. I asked if they would knock this months bill down if I agreed to re contract with them, they refused so we went elsewhere.
