I’m looking for a new broadband provider, are there any good?
I’ve used Plusnet over the last 12 months and no issues. Customer care is excellent.
Beware. Leaving them took a formal OFCOM complaint which was settled in my favour with £50 compensation thrown in.

Terrible, terrible company to deal with. BT must have transferred some of their very best and most incompetent Customer Service staff into the Plusnet subisdiary to make such an appalling mess of it.

Look at Trustpilot to see the stunning 80%+ of 1 star reviews
Guys be warned...

If you go direct to Plusnet's website, yes this is a 12 month contract, but you will get no cashback.

If you go via Quidco, you get the £70 csshback, but you will be signing up to an 18 month contract!

I swapped to Plusnet from Sky before Xmas, and it’s been a nightmare. To be fair, the customer service department have been trying their best, but the equipment they supply is diabolical. Constant drop outs and slow speeds have crippled the family’s ability to enjoy any form of online entertainment...streaming?? Only if you’re the only person using the internet!!

This is just my experience. I’m sure others have a wholly positive view of Plusnet Broadband. Good luck with whichever direction you choose

I’ve had exactly the same problem. I was absolutely fine until they said I needed a new router because of slow speed. I now get 50mps but only in the room where the new router is. I get drop out everywhere else in the house despite using signal boosters etc.
In my experience, having been with Plusnet for more than 2 years; they have been fab. No issues and customer service has always been very good.

Thanks I’ll have a look
Terrible company. Based in Bromley and we are lucky to get 4MB download with them
I'm at the end of a rural line and get 12-19 megs with most providers plusnet have a problem with dealing with congestion at peak times where it cuts out completely. when the openreach engineer came out (knew what he was talking about) he said several people on my cab were experiencing the same problem and were all on plusnet. If you have a decent line you should be okay but if there is a sniff of congestion don't bother, I left after two months due to lack of bandwidth, just after the cashback paid out!
Never again, I never got the advertised speeds and my line kept dropping. They wanted to charge me numerous times for an engineer to come and look into it.
Switched to NOW TV and never had a problem since.

Signed up a Plusnet Fibre broadband up to 38Mb, 12 month contract from this offer last May.
Paid 12 month line rental in advance. After £70 cashback, I effectively pay only £15.65 per month.
Every time I check speed, it's always above 37Mb download, 9Mb upload. I live in London btw.
Never has major issue regarding connection, can't comment on customer service as I don't need them.
But I will soon negotiate with them for a new contract.

You do realise that you don't have to have the modem-router that PN offer.
Yes. I’ve switched it out for BT home hub.
