This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Just saw this deal on the Plusnet website - as it's not via a third-party site such as uSwitch, existing customers can login to their account to upgrade to it rather than having to call to request it, which I've just done. The deal expires at the end of Wednesday, according to the website.

If signing up as a new customer, TopCashback and Quidco currently link to higher priced tariffs, so you can either try for a one-off cashback payment, or get a lower ongoing price.

(Plusnet use the EE network, minus certain bands, so your coverage may vary etc. etc.)

Awful customer service, absolutely incompetent mess, and no accountability in my experience.

it took me a couple of tries after it constantly throwing up the call to upgrade screen, but if you sign in your account page should come up, they'll be a upgrade link there, it should then bring up a list of four deals, including this one.
Can’t see 10gb for £10, I’m getting 11gb for £11 or 7gb for £9

Perhaps, however I don't think there's a mobile phone provider that exists without lots of similar experiences. Not trying to excuse any bad customer service, just saying the only way someone can definitely avoid that is not to have a mobile phone.

Not sure, the 'deal page' this links to still shows 10GB/£10 for me. Only possibility I can think of is if you are in a 12 month contract which maybe limits what you can change to.

I was on a Uswitch Deal which was 9Gb for £10, but since I’ve got their Broadband I got an extra 2Gb, so making 11Gb for £10.

Looking at this deal, again if you also have their Broadband you also get an extra 2Gb, therefore making it 12Gb for £10.

I just tried to upgrade online but it wasn’t showing the extra 2Gb, so I went onto their Online Chat and they did it for me that way, so I’m getting 12Gb Date with Unlimited Calls & Text on a 30 day rolling contract for £10 a month.

As for their customer service, I’ve never had an issue with them the odd times I have had to contact them; but I can only compare them to Three.....

broadband customers can also get 12gig for £10
Managed to upgrade very easily over the phone. Thanks!

Likewise, only issues I've ever had with mobile and broadband were sorted very quickly, just gone for the 12 for 10 too.

I had an issue with my mobile switching the number over, they cocked it up, but sorted it quickly (had to send me a new SIM card) but refunded me the month I’d just paid, gave me 2 months free and an extra 2Gb of Data. So yes they cocked up, but it happens and they admitted it, sorted it as quickly as possible and compensated me; she also phoned me the week after to check everything was working fine.

I worked in customer services for 20yrs and you get more the less you shout and complain.....

When orange were around they actually would put you through to tech support and things would get done. And if there was a problem they'd give money off the bill. Plusnet first line have a very different philosophy, like they're purposefully trained to be ignorant. They guy literally didn't have a clue yet refused to put me through to tech or supervisor because he knew I'd report his incompetence.

Point is, they seem to be trained to be ignorant. Hence why I'm not just blaming the one guy; with Plusnet it's in the training, systematic bs when there are actual technical issues.

Worst tech customer service I've used in over 20 years.

You focus on one guy (given you single him out) and extrapolate that to a systematic failing of training?!

I'm not denying your issue, just pointing out that all of them have reported issues. Go into any lengthy mobile thread, and you'll find a provider being slated, another one being praised - and vice versa by someone else.

If you actually read.. it specifically states that I'm "not" blaming the guy.

It's a management / team training issue.

We're not talking about 'a maverick who doesn't play by the rules' 😄

He was following their ridiculous protocol. They're a sales team, out to make a profit, and trained as such. Don't blame the guy doing his job, it's what they've been told by his manager to cut corners and reduce workload by fobbing people of with bs stories. Wake up.

There are obviously other avoidable large companies who train staff to lie or cut corners this at the expense of the customer. I voted with my feet, as equally there are customer service teams who are trained to take care of the customer and are happy to do so. The mentality of the institution and it's management manifests at some point in the relationship with the customer.

Capitol One, Amazon, PayPal, EE, - World of difference in the staff mentality because they train the teams to competently to listen and respond to the customers requirements.

I didn't say you were "blaming the guy". I said your post focused on one guy, somehow going from that one guy to a 'systematic failing of training'.
Called up retentions asking to better the offer and managed to squeeze another gig out of them.. I'm on 11gb for £10 on 30 day rolling contract

Thanks OP. I checked in the app for other packages, clicked the link to call 500, straight through, great service, 10gb for £10 the best available, added without any issue at all. In my experiences with Plusnet service I’ve always found them to be excellent.
Ordered! Had it a few yeArs ago. Can’t complain.
Just spoke to cancellation team, was on 5gb for £9, they matched Three deal 8gb for £8 on 30 day contract. Don't need 10gb package so I rather saved £2.

How's their 4g?

Can heartily second that. Wouldn't switch to Plusnet mobile now if they paid me.

Tried switching from Virgin. They cocked EVERYTHING up. Literally everything.
They don't appear to have technical support at all. They just send you instructions they've obviously googled (take the SIM out and put it back again) and if that doesnt work they 'pass it to EE' Then you wait 4 days to find out "EE cant see anything wrong" and they start with the 'take the SIM out and put it back in again' Again.

Dreadful.
Thanks. I was paying £9 for 5gb, now £10 for 10gb

Make sure you change from the 12 month tab to 30 day one. I've been with Plusnet for 2 years now and not really had any issues with them.
Thanks was paying £10.50 for 8GB! they must have added the extra 50p on a few months ago and I didnt even realise.
Thanks OP. Easy swap on the web to 10GB a month.
Huge thanks to the OP. Just changed over seamlessly on the website from 8GB (£10) to 10GB (£10). I'd never have known about it so many many thanks. :-)
