Plusnet retentions SIM only £5 for 2.5GB unlimited texts 3000 minutes

Found 3rd Feb
Just been on the blower to get my PAC code from Plusnet as I jumped on the £5 ID mobile deal for 2.25GB + data rollover. Plusnet offered £5 a month for 2.5GB, unlimited texts and 3000 minutes but no data rollover.

Thanks OP.

My son was on 1.5gb data, 1000 mins and unlimited texts for £5.

I was offered choice of:
1.5gb data, 1000 mins and unlimited texts for £3.75
2.5gb data, 3000 mins and unlimited texts for £5
4gb data, unlimited mins and unlimited texts for £6

Went for 2.5gb data, 3000 mins and unlimited texts for £5 so not paying anymore than now. In a way probably should have gone for 4gb data for £6 but we doesn't really use his current data (just thought might as well have more for free )

Normally don't bother with retention deals as they are user specific or depend on who answers the phone....but I'll try it & report back as I've got a sim on the £5 / 1.5gb tarrif

Finally got round to calling them but got exactly same deal. Worth calling...£5!
Hot Thanks for posting!

Any chance they can do for new customers?
Thanks for the tip. Called and have been given 3.5gb/Unltd/Unltd for £5pm

A Mazing
I got 5gb unlimited minutes and texts last time somebody posted a Plusnet retention deal a month or so back.
Typical.. I end with he doziest PN staff members on the weekend shift, that keep telling me I'm on a 3G package from 2016, even though I'm on a 4G package updated last year!

No retention offered - happy to give me a PAC code straight away...
Went through on chat, not interested. Luck of the draw I guess!
Thanks for the heads-up OP. Just switched three accounts over to 3.5GB with U/L minutes and texts for £5, down from £8 to save me £108 a year.
Thanks, got the deal as posted for two phones, so I am happy.

0800 079 1133; option 3

Just told them the truth i.e. about the ID mobile deal, and that was looking for more data and could leave it they couldn't offer me anything. Just asked for my details and straight away offered my several deals. Just try again if you get someone who doesn't offer you anything

That's what I did - oh well. I might try one more time
Retention only deal, non-existing customers can only get this for £7 here
Plusnet don’t do data rollover.

You don't need to tell me. I'd rather go with the data rollover with ID mobile for a fiver with 0.25GB less data a month than pay 7 quid for it; especially because I'll be buying 4 of 'em.

Got my Mum on 1.5GB, 1000mins, 1000texts for a fiver, might get her to call them tomorrow and see if she can get on the £3.75 deal - sounds great

Heat OP!
I have two accounts and got 6gb data, 2500 mins and unltd texts for £6 on one account and 3.5gb, 3000mins and unltd texts for £5 a month on the other.
Had to go through to retentions for these though.
No idea how people are getting these deals. I’m currently paying £6pm for 1,000 mins and 2.5GB. They would only offer me 2,000 mins and 3.5GB for the same price. Other than that they were happy to send my PAC code. Absolute rubbish

Why should I pay £6 for 3.5GB and 2,000 mins when someone else is offered 4GB and unlimited mins for the same price? Pure discrimination.

I was paying £6 for 1.5gb with Plusnet & they offered me nothing when I called up. I'd have taken 2.5gb if offered it. That's how retention work
Edited by: "Gollywood" 3rd Feb
I have just got the 2.5gb, 3000 minutes, unlimited texts for £5.00 a month
Hot.
Thank you op. Good find.
Yes it works as stated by op on top. I just spoken to Plusnet on phone number 0800 079 1133 as some one has stated in this thread and they have changed my plan; however it will be effective from next month. They have given me :
Plan price- £5.00
Data - 2560 mb
Minutes - 3000
Texts - UNL
Minimum Term - 1
Hope this will help others.
Did you press option 3 - Thinking of leaving?
I've tried 4 times and it instantly hangs up!
Trying option 1 now, but in a queue :-(
Perhaps retentions closes at 8pm?

Update:
Just got through. Cancellations closes at 7pm. Just hangs up after that

Black to the Future.....
Are you guys who get a decent retention deal immediately saying you want a PAC code or are you mentioning the ID Mobile deal and then saying 'What do you think......' etc?
Is this a monthly rolling contract or will you need to commit to a 12 or longer months' contract?

I immediately said I'm just calling to get my PAC code because I want to leave. Dude then asked me why and I told him I'm joining ID mobile because of their 2.25GB with rollover for the same price (£5). Then he searched for something he could offer me and said 2.5GB, unlimited texts, 3000mins, no rollover.

30 day rolling
How long do you have to be a customer for to have a retention deal? I've just been with them a month and on the 1.5gb 1000/1000 deal. Cheaper or more would be great if I could lol
Thanks OP. I managed to get unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 3.5GB for £6pm but they also credited me with £12 (so effectively £5pm for the next year.) I think that's a great deal!

I only became a customer a couple of months ago on the same deal as you and managed to get this deal y'day.
Many thanks OP

I have two acccounts - got the 2.5gb data, 3000 mins and unlimited texts for £5 on one but they didn't offer me the £3.75 deal on the other, so I got my PAC for that one.
Hi,

Just looked on ID mobile website and can't see the deal at £5, anybody got a link?

I don't want to call plusnet without being able to point them to the deal !

It's through uswitch's website:

Although I just told them about it and they immediately offered me a deal. I don't think they checked against the ID offer

Thanks.

The link seems malformed!

I checked uswitch earlier, the deal is for 250 minutes ?
