Thanks for posting @KingsleyPeer-71d03.69158 and welcome to HUKD. Was this a monthly rolling contract or a fixed term e.g 12m/18m?

They will only offer deals like that to existing customers not new customers
If you're a student, wouldn't something like VOXI be better value for money?

Not really considering you will only get 2gb or data for the same price

Maybe, but 6Gb/Unlimited/Unlimited is their £10/mth 'limited time' offer available to all, hang on and it'll be back soon enough.

This is just their standard £10 deal with an extra Gb.

It’s still pretty decent for someone looking for a sim deal now rather than waiting until the deal you said comes back on. When it does become available again you can just call up and switch to that plan

I guess it just depends on how you use your data, the social applications are all unlimited and for 6 months both video and music are unlimited too.

Actually, given this is also meant to be a student plan (!) you may have a point. My eldest finds Snapchat gobbles through most of his 6Gb and he uses next to no data for anything not 'social'. The music and vid bit is a dubious practice though as that's just there to get them into the habit of burning data on it and then spend more after the six months.
Can you use a Pac code to keep your old number with a 1 month rolling contract
